According to CIMB's analyst report dated 22 July 2015 for Hevea, a lot of funds cannot buy stocks with daily trading volume lower than RM1 mil (RM3.7 mil).

A split or bonus will enhance the trading volume.

This is not a theory, but based on real life experience.

The latest case is Hevea, which has trading volume of 0.8 mil shares before split (0.8 m x RM3.8 = RM3 mil, less than RM3.8 mil).

However, after split, the first day, trading volume reached 8.72 mil shares (please check the chart yourself).

Based on RM1.00, trading volume is RM8.72 mil, above the RM3.8 mil threshold. That seemed to triggered a fresh round of buying by funds.

Going forward, can expect more funds support once price dips a bit.



In addition, according to CIMB, a lot of funds also cannot buy stock with market cap less than USD100 mil (RM380 mil). Hevea has 100 mil shares, that is why they need to push it to close at approximately RM3.80 right before it goes ex for the share split recently (or is it a coincidence ? I don't know).

With RM380 mil market cap, the moment the stock went ex the next day, funds swoop in to buy big time (I witnessed myself the aggressive buying few days ago).

mieco's EPS and earning is far below than hevea! Hevea profit margin and dividend is increasing because of its good management and weak ringgit!

yeah! next quarter result will be out! buy and hold before price is shooting up. Compared to Pohuat, Evergrn and liihen, Hevea is the most affordable and profitable company after splitting its shares!

Hevea 2nd quarter result will be published next month and the price now is relatively low to enter! Pohuat is kinda expensive now to enter!
