GOOD times ahead - the company announce today -30 January 2015 - that their Managing Director will be dealing with their shares which only means he will start buying the shares from the open market from next week onwards. This is a definite signal that the share price is very undervalued right now.

"Pursuant to Paragraph 14.08(a) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, this is to notify that Dr Kenneth Gerard Pereira, the Managing Director of Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad (“HPB”), has given notice of an intention by Hibiscus Upstream Sdn Bhd (“HUSB”) (a company in which he holds more than a 15% shareholding interest) to deal in the ordinary shares of HPB during the closed period and that his indirect shareholding interest in HPB will therefore be affected accordingly."

Dr. Kenneth Gerard Pereira currently holds 167,572,600 shares which is 18.79% of the company total share float.

VERY INTERSTING FEBRUARY COMING!!,

Why Chris Dalton sell his shares at this price? Anyone know his cost price and reason why he sell?

Hope he got good reason.

There is so much hatred in the forum - how come it has come to this? A forum is for us to share views about the counter and provide others perspectives. Not to ridicule.

The essence of this forum is lost.

And you read it again it is appears to be a forum full of Vengeance where almost everyone (minus a few innocent ones) wants to be right - it's a "I TOLD YOU SO" kinda of forum - it's a candidate for a good movie - the characters here are very interesting and entertaining - so much squabbling and name calling with so little fact sharing

What a shame.......

These seem to be pattern as 2015 is the year all good things unfold for Hibiscus and the first thing the company does is buy up its own shares.

The funny thing is the float in the market is very little left. Very interesting to see what will happen next week.

Hibiscus once again bought their own shares. Now this is very interesting. Two days in a row. This conservative company is buying its own shares in the open market and only yesterday 5 million shares were traded hands off market.

Something very positive is definitely brewing - stay tuned.

Today volume above the 4 weeks average trading volume.

This are the main events of 2015 : which has been planned and worked for the past 2 years, I.e 2013 and 2014:

1. Drilling five exploration wells in 2015: Sharjah (50% farm out) , 3 in Norway (PL 591, PL 708 & PL 616) and Australia (VIC/ P57 )

2. Extended Well Testing (EWT) for Oman when oil was found to produce oil end 2015 - Oman oil discovery in March 2014

3. Proposed drilling of two development wells in Australia (Vic L31) and installation of MOPU and FSO. Production of wells in 2015

4. Drilling of Kitan-3 Sidetrack - this should be completed January 2015 I believe as per page 8 of presentation so announcement of this too is imminent - cash flow from January 2014

Thanks Marksmenship - this is good news indeed. I like this company diversified portfolio and they are all geared up to start business in 2015.

So the compampny now started buying its own shares it's just a tell tale sign that good things are now not very far away.

For ease this is the DEC 2014 presentation that states their plan - everything is happening in 2015

http://www.hibiscuspetroleum.com/download/pdf/media/news/Investor%20Presentation_December_R3%20Published.pdf

Look at page 18 of the presentation - 3 to 5 exploration wells in Norway, Australia and UAE - and production in Australia and Oman.

it also states revenue from Kitan field should trickle in 2015 and significantly contribute to the future cash flow of the company.

I totally agree with strategisst - the retail investors are there ones that suffer especially those who have bought at higher prices above 30 cents and 40 cents.

There were lots of promoters here above these prices, especially above 40 cents.

Although the purchase price is cheaper, retail investors pay more contribution.

The more I ponder - By right should give more shares so everyone share the risk and rewards of the joint venture and not just overload the retail investors alone

And wow! Want to collect more money from public than original proposal as more rights being offered and the float of shares will be much, I mean very much ballooned.

Can someone ask why new purchase price the cash payment is almost the same as the original eve though the purchase price has been reduced significantly? The glaring different is the reduced numbers of shares issued to the seller, which means the seller is being paid more in cash.

In an October 2008 op-ed in the New York Times, Warren Buffett famously advised: “Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful.”

Whereas most investors during that time of financial panic were dumping their freefalling U.S. equities, Buffett was snatching them up at such great volume that he imagined his personal, non-Berkshire Hathaway portfolio would soon be composed only of domestic stocks.

“I haven’t the faintest idea as to whether stocks will be higher or lower a month — or a year — from now,” he continued. “What is likely, however, is that the market will move higher, perhaps substantially so, well before either sentiment or the economy turns up.”

The same is true for oil prices. I can’t say when oil will begin to recover or by how much. What I can say is this: For far too many investors, by the time they gain back the confidence to put money into oil stocks again, the rally might have already taken off, making it challenging to capture the full benefit of the upswing.

Think of it this way. Every Black Friday, merchandise is discounted to such an extent that thousands of bargain shoppers are willing to camp overnight in parking lots to be the first inside. When the doors open, people literally get pushed, shoved, elbowed and trampled on.

But too often, the stock market works in a curiously opposite way. When certain stocks drop in price, investors scramble for the exit instead of picking up the bargains.

Analyzing EIA projections for crude oil prices in 2014 and 2015

By Keisha Bandz • Dec 29, 2014 12:01 pm EST

EIA forecasts

The EIA (Energy Information Administration) trimmed its forecast for WTI crude oil prices to $75 per barrel in 4Q 2014 and $63 per barrel in 2015. The 4Q 2014 forecast is 25% lower than the $100.46-per-barrel average in 2013 and 6% lower than the November STEO1 projection for 4Q 2014. The 2015 forecasts are 17% lower than last month’s projection.

For Brent, the EIA expects prices to average $68 per barrel in 2015. This is ~18% lower than the previous month’s forecast.

Meaning : oil price will rebound anytime soon

Stocks will go higher. The stock market has been zooming up for years now. The Dow Jones industrial average stood at 6,627 in early March 2009, during the worst of the Great Recession. But with the recovery going strong, the stock average has been pushing above 18,000.

Some skeptics think the stock market is due for a "correction" that would knock down prices by 10 percent or more in 2015. But the more typical prediction is that with oil prices running so low, investors will want to keep putting money into companies that stand to benefit from increased consumer spending.

Howard Silverblatt, senior index analyst at S&P Dow Jones Indices, summed it up in a recent tweet, saying "high-octane optimism once again prevails on the Street."

Meant to say ....Not going to produce oil at a lost

Brent will stay above USD50 + possibly USD55 and move upwards once the gluts tapered off - rigs counts going down dramatically in the states - expect oil and gas Counters to gradually creep up.

"Longer term, I think we can anticipate ongoing geopolitical disruptions in Africa and the Middle East and a resumption of demand growth from emerging economies. That is why I believe that, before long, the world will once again want that higher-cost oil. But December 2014 doesn’t seem to be the time to try to sell it."
