This REIT is a niche player in less major cities/towns whereby the revenue is sustained from rental of mainly tenants providing essential services. Hence, it is more defensive compared to most Reits when the economic activities are reduced.

Let's hope no major shareholder try to block this privatization like Muar Ban Lee against CCB's privatization this year. Blocking it will not be beneficial to any shareholder as you cannot expect the price to maintain much after the privatization failure. By the way, did you know that Muar Ban Lee left as majority shareholder after the failure to privatize CCB? This shows that greed failed when market conditions are weak.

Revenue is almost similar to the cost of sales due to significant portion of MCO period. Hence, moving forward the revenue should be higher than the cost of sales and profitability is in sight.

MBL made a strategic mistake by failing to foresee the negative market outlook in late 2019 and hence had to bite the bullet themselves. Greed was definitely at play as blocking the privatization of CCB (in an already soft market) was their myophic view. Were they even going to stick around to conduct a business turnaround if the privatization failed?

This company is fundamentally strong. Can invest for mid to long term.

▪lower carpark and marcom income as well as lower recovery of utilities during the various phases of the MCO and
▪lower occupancies amidst the uncertainties arising from the pandemic and economic recovery post-MCO

Now that business has almost returned to normal, the results will definitely be better for Q3.

Thinkcarefully, I fully agree with you. Those who intend to block need to ask themselves - What is your final intention for the company? Hope for better SCR price (which is a 50-50 chance) or allow the minority shareholders to exit without any price fluctuation risk to their shareholding?

Blocking the SCR defeats the purpose of allowing shareholders to exit @ 2.20. Unless the minority is going to run the company should the SCR fail, blocking it reeks of GREED.

Can buy and keep - they do have palm oil plantations in Indonesia as well. If CPO price has increased, their results should be better for the next Q.
