Kuala Lumpur, 31 May 2016 – Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”) – has been named the recipient of the Industry Excellence Award in the E-Commerce category at the ASEAN Business Awards Malaysia 2016.

The award has been conferred to Dagang Net in recognition of the company’s performance and achievements in the sector. Dagang Net’s Executive Chairman Datuk Samsul Husin received the award on behalf of the company at a Gala Dinner held in Kuala Lumpur and scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak.

As for FY17, Zainal Abidin foresees that the group’s revenue will double to over RM200 million since there will be a first full-year consolidation revenue recognised from DNeX’s newly acquired subsidiaries — OGPC Sdn Bhd and OGPC O&G Sdn Bhd (OGPC Group) — which provide equipment and services for the O&G, petrochemical, power and general industries.

“OGPC has been reporting some RM100 million revenue and RM20 million net profit over the past few years. I will be happy if they continue to deliver RM100 million to RM150 million revenue in the next five years — that is my goal.” He also said OGPC Group is a niche market player and though there is less demand for their equipment now, OGPC Group can focus on more maintenance, repairs and overhaul jobs to ride through the current O&G downturn.

“We hope to grow all the group’s businesses steadily over time. I hope revenue would hit RM400 million to RM500 million in five years, with growth of about 10% annually,” he added.
