2019年4月25日下午，中国中铁总裁张宗言与马来西亚经济事务部部长阿兹敏于钓鱼台国宾馆签署大马城项目恢复框架协议，标志着大马城项目这一备受关注的“一带一路”沿线重大商业项目按照原价格、原股权架构恢复。

大马城项目位于马来西亚首都吉隆坡中心区域，占地200万平方米，该项目以高铁、地铁、轻轨等轨道交通建设为导向，建成后将成为吉隆坡最重要的交通枢纽和集金融、商业、文化、旅游、高级住宅于一体的国际经济中心、金融中心、文化交流中心及跨国公司区域经营中心。

大马城项目是中马两国共建“一带一路”倡议的重要桥梁和纽带，是实现马来西亚经济转型的重要支撑和保障。恢复项目建设将有助于进一步推进中马双边经贸合作，加速提升马来西亚经济发展，为马来西亚人民带来实实在在的好处，为吉隆坡发展成为具有地区领导力的国际大都市奠定坚实基础。

大马城项目是中国中铁海外市场经营至今规模和体量最大的单一城市商业综合开发体项目，也是中资企业在当地实施的规模最大的城市综合体。项目开发本身就是一次创新经营的成功探索，是中国中铁推行海外优先、优质发展战略的最佳载体，对中国中铁从事和探索国际化城市综合体开发具有里程碑意义。
