KUALA LUMPUR: The fuel subsidy rationalisation programme will have three tiers, depending on your monthly income.

Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah said those earning below RM5,000 will receive a full subsidy while Malaysians earning between RM5,000 and RM10,000 will get some kind of subsidy.

Meanwhile, those earning RM10,000 and above will not be eligible for any subsidy, he said.

Ahmad Husni added that the mechanism is being worked on by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry.
