When ever Malay shouted " Hidup Melayu", the country is going backward 3 times. Why? slogan very loud but how many grassroot Malay benefited from the so called transformation or DEB programme?

Projects and land given only to the cronies. Are you saying that none of the ordinary Malay can match Sharizat's husband or Syed Mokhtar that every project must be given to them? How to angkat martabat bangsa Melayu if the ordinary Malay is only needed when election is near and will be forgotten when the election is over?

Looking around, Indonesia and Thialand are even ahead of us in many aspects and people still have not waked up. Later Myanmar will take over us. Have youi waked up?

KFima recorded a +9.6% y-o-y revenue increase for 2QFY13 to RM127.8m from RM116.6m in the previous corresponding year. Net profit slipped marginally to RM19.0m (-8.2% y-o-y, +12.4% q-o-q) attributed to lower revenue from palm oil production and processing coupled with declining CPO prices, dampening profit margins. The group‟s YTD performance is in line with our FY13F estimates (9MFY13 YTD 55% revenue, 48% net profit) despite headwinds experienced in the respective divisions.
Our Outperform recommendation with TP of RM3.21, implying forward 5.8x PE multiple is derived by our sum-of-parts valuation with conservative PE multiples for the respective segments.

Manufacturing (+4.1% y-o-y, +4.6% q-o-q) and bulking (+6.3 y-o-y, +13.4% q-o-q) revenues are stable. KFima‟s first and third largest revenue and earnings contributors are expected to maintain previous year‟s performance with slight growth as i.) manufacturing volume increases, but average margin is reduced due to different product mix‟s margin yields, ii.) higher throughput from increased utilisation (current utilisation – 80%) of tanks for mainly edible oil and base oil product. By FY2014, the group will build new storage tanks for extra capacity which would translate to RM2m-RM3m in extra earnings per month for the division.

Unpredictable CPO prices. The plantation division is earning good profit margins (27% for this quarter) but due to lower CPO prices however, the “optimum” historical highs were not met. KFima‟s Indonesian subsidiary moreover only sold 19,939mt of CPO YTD with no crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) compared with 19,813mt CPO and 2,489mt of CPKO sold last year. Average net CIF selling price of CPO decreased -15.6% to RM2,421/mt from RM2,869/mt YTD causing the shortfall for the division. KFima has actually sold more CPO this year, but as profit is purely determined by CPO‟s market price, the outlook of this division depends on a favourable price scenario. The group continues to acquire palm oil lands which would expand the division‟s contributions in the near-term.

Canned tuna to take-off by 1QFY14. The division is taking on new tuna canning orders from Europe. By 1QFY2014, RM6m to RM7m of revenue is expected, with potential RM20m sales per quarter as of 4QFY14 onwards (operating at c. 30% capacity). We are estimating additional c.80% revenue for the group based on these new orders.

Still undervalued. For FY13F, KFima's forward PE multiple of 6x, for a 5 welldiversified core business entity is regarded as a discount. We believe the group remains undervalued considering they are i.) meeting earnings expectations, ii.) undertaking exciting plans to grow its tuna manufacturing operations in Papua New Guinea by 2014, expanding bulking storage and new plantation acquisitions, iii.) hold a healthy cash pile exceeding RM250m for acquisition and/or expansion.

Kfima has recorded Profit After tax of RM19.03 million vs RM16.938 million same quarter last year.(15% increase q vs Q )

My only concern is that they might park some ESOS expenses to make the profit lower. Otherwise operating profit should see Q to Q(compare this quarter with last year and also last quarter this year)increase.

Fima Corp this quarter result has told all since it is Kfima's subsidiary. Both Manufacturing and Plantation has chalked up good profit.

Stock

2012-11-28 18:16 | Report Abuse

My prediction for Kfima result tomorrow:-

Profit Before Tax this quarter:
(1) Manufacturing RM16.09 million

(2) Plantation RM8.7 million

(3) Bulking RM8 million

(4) Foods 4 million

Total Profit Before Tax for this quarter before MI should be around RM37.6 million or net profit after tax around RM22 million.

For this quarter, my take is that they can achieve EPS 7.8 sen or 31.2 sen per share per year which is better than 6.8 sen per share same quarter last year. The prediction has not taken into account of ESOS expenses.

(1) & (2) contributed by Fima Corp EPS 21.98 sen per share per quarter annualise 88 sen. Fima corp just annoumced the result tonite and surprisingly the planatation sector has recorded 12% increase in Profit before tax if compare last year same quarter.

When Malay has given up on UMNO, our big sister talks nonsense again...

Shahizat: Kuasa Melayu 'bagai telur di hujung tanduk'
11:22AM Nov 28 2012

It’s the system that turns good leaders bad

Mohd Ariff Sabri Aziz | November 28, 2012
Free Malaysia Today

Malaysians think that by changing the present set of bad people with good ones everything will be all right, but nothing is farther from the truth.

COMMENT

People do not want to believe that if you have an intrinsically bad system, you are good at the beginning, but you are eventually going to degenerate.

But people don’t want to accept this.

Let’s assume Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is a good person (he probably is) but the system which sustains him is bad. It will eventually cause him to turn bad.

So it isn’t enough to transform society by changing the people leading it, but the system that structures our society must be changed too.

That is our (Pakatan Rakyat’s ) agenda now. Not just changing of guards, but changing the system that structures our society.

Just as a free market requires a libertarian system or liberal democracy, so do good people at the top who can stay good but only if we have a good system of government.

The leader who respects the opinions of the people he leads stays a good leader but only if the system sustains him so.

But Najib can’t stay a good leader because Umno structures the world around us in a bad way.

Najib’s New Economic Model (NEM) in reality is just an extension of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s way of renouncing the NEP and choosing to jump-start Malay economics by picking and choosing winners.

He, at that point, chose mostly devils he knew and enriched them.

Najib is now continuing to do the same by his market-driven affirmative action that forms his NEM.

Dangerous thinking

Author Fredrik Hayek makes an interesting point in his book, “The Road to Serfdom”. He explains why the worst get to the top.

If we interpret his observation against modern terms, it is that people are willing to suspend reality in exchange for a sanitised world.

Hayek opines that it is dangerous to think that “good men can overcome a bad system”. It is simply wrong thinking.

Malaysia unfortunately appears to be in that situation.

We adjust ourselves and accommodate totalitarian tendencies believing that such a system or political arrangement is not at fault.

We think that by changing the present set of bad people with good and decent people, everything is all right.

But nothing is farther from the truth.

The agenda the opposition seeks is not only changing the bad people on top, but reforming the structure of this country.

If we don’t put the correct structure in place, even when good men lead, they will soon be overwhelmed by the system.

We gather that the net profit will be down YoY although revenue continues to grow, likely due to store expansion related costs.

3.1.3 Basis of arriving at the Indicative BSV Disposal Consideration
The Indicative BSV Disposal Consideration of RM212,504,000 was arrived at on a willing buyer-willing seller basis based on the adjusted unaudited NA as at 31 August 2012 of BSV after taking into consideration the market value of the BSV Lands of RM315,216,924 as appraised by WTW.
The market value of the BSV Lands was derived using the ‘Investment (Discounted Cash Flow) Method’ of valuation via WTW’s Valuation Certificate, based on the material date of valuation of 30 August 2012 (“Valuation Certificate”).

Earnings and earnings per share
The realised gains arising from the Proposed Disposals will depend on the respective NA of BSV and MWM at the time of completion of the Proposed Disposals.
Based on the Indicative Disposal Considerations, the Weida Group is expected to realise a net gain on disposal of approximately RM121.15 million(1) based on the latest audited financial statements of the Weida Group for the FYE 31 March 2012, assuming that the Proposed Disposals had been effected in the FYE 31 March 2012. The net gain represents a net income per share of approximately RM0.95 per Weida ordinary share of RM0.50 each.
Strictly for illustrative purposes only, the Weida Group is also expected to enjoy interest savings of approximately RM4.38 million per annum after repayment of bank borrowings from the Proposed Disposals proceeds as well as interest savings from the de-consolidation of the bank borrowings of BSV as detailed in Note (1) of Section 5 of this announcement.
Upon completion of the Proposed Disposals, BSV and MWM will cease to contribute to the future earnings of the Weida Group. Nonetheless, BSV and MWM have been incurring operating losses since BSV and MWM became the subsidiaries of Weida. Although BSV and MWM recorded profits after taxation for the FYE 31 March 2012, the aggregate contribution of BSV and MWM to the Weida Group’s net profit based on its latest audited financial statements for the FYE 31 March 2012 were insignificant.

What if Weida managed to sell the plantation at RM20,500 per hektar just like what the news mentioned in the Business Times today as Weida also has 6,500 oil plam hektar estate in Bintulu?

TH Plantations plans Sarawak acquisitions

By Ooi Tee Ching Published: 2012/10/25

RM200m DEAL: 6,500ha oil palm estate and quarry in Bintulu

TH PLANTATIONS Bhd is set to buy 6,500ha of oil palm estate and a quarry in Sarawak for more than RM200 million.

"It's a brownfield block in Bintulu, away from native customary land. The oil palms are young, between two and five years old," a source said.

"It's going for RM20,500 per hectare. It is at a slight premium because this Bintulu estate includes a quarry mine, separately priced at around RM70 million. It has income-generating rock reserves of up to 30 years," the source told Business Times.

"Currently, TH Plantations landbank is about 45,000ha. If you count the 46,000ha block of estates to be transferred from parent company Lembaga Tabung Haji and this Bintulu estate, it will come up to around 100,000ha," the source said.

Five months ago, TH Plantations told the stock exchange that itwanted to buy 45,738ha of agricul-ture landbank from its parent company Lembaga Tabung Haji for RM536 million.

The acquisition is to be satisfied via the issuance of 209.23 million new THP shares at an issue price of RM2.56 per share. If the deal goes through, TH Plantations' agriculture landbank would double from the current 44,933ha to 90,671ha.

The deal to double TH Plantations' landbank hit a snag last week when Sabah Forestry Department rejected the execution of the teak and rubber plantation development agreement with TH-Bonggaya.

You are right that one should do their homework because no one owed us a living but we ourselves. Win or lose one should take their own resposibility.

Regarding Kfima, I am not aiming for few cents profit because I see the potiental of this stock which is dirt cheap at this level. You can see the performance of the stocks that I posted here before like WEIDA, ZHULIAN, PERISAI.
