amoeba: would their entrance before 31 March or after make a difference? I think yes it makes a difference. At the very least, they might not be seen as being responsible for the significant operating loss of 2015. Investors can then assess their capabilities with a fresh start point based on the balance sheet they had inherited from the Chin cronies.
Let's see what the 1st qtr of their 1st financial year would tell us. I hope to see another significant reduction in inventories to boost the cash position of this fresh company under Wong and Jeff. If they are moving into services, they would and should realise the ICT related stocks into cash soonest possible before obsolescence takes a bite. 66m of trade receivables is a good boost too if at least 90% is collected.
Let's keep sharing. enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Amoeba: the above is just a static view of the liquidity.
I have a question for you: Do you think Wong and Jeff came into Ingenco at a reasonable time shortly after its financial year-end 31 March 2015? if yes, why? if no, why? no right or wrong..we as retail investors can only assume, agree?

Amoeba: That doesnt sound like the usual confidence that you portray for Ingenco. Do you think the private placement would or would not happen?

Andrew Wong: i presume you are asking on market capitalisation?
refer to the recent announcement on exercise of warrants on 12/6. it gives you the total number of shares after conversion, ie 554,924,300.
Take this number multiple by the observed share price and that gives you market capitalisation.
With this you would know that market capitalisation is never static due to changing market share price and the share capital base in any given listed co.
Hope this helps. Thank Google. it taught me all these. Cheers.

Calvin,
as much as you claim that the singapore govt invest heavily in Iskandar they had, through Lawrence Wong, in representation of the MAS, caution about investing in Iskandar. Some ofthe companies in your country have even considered pulling back their operations in Iskandar to my knowledge.
Not disputing your statement, but in any case it is good to be cautious.

swk23: If there is one thing that i like to share with newbies:
For the amount of monies that you put in stocks or whatever you beg, steal or borrow to put into stocks, can you take/manage it if something goes awfully wrong?
The market is always there, and do not get into something not knowing what you are getting into or beyond what your pocket can stomach.
Your choice, your decision. I am as newbie as many of you, maybe just a little older I guess. :)

Good morning, I do share your sentiment, and not just here but I observed heightened market volatility/uncertainty, with TNB and even Sembcorp Industries (across the causeway) as recent examples, when both took a hit when identified as interested acquirers of 1MDB power assets.
1MDB is just one of the factors. The ringgit is not doing any better and for every foreign currency incurred in local investments translate into eroding capital gains, and frankly the commentaries on ringgit have been daunting thus far, and which I can kind of appreciate why foreign selling is climbing as much as many do not like it. The fitch rating is another consideration...national debt in the face of weakening national currency..something to watch out, at least for me. Let's not forget probable rate hikes and the aggravating Greece issue.
we have a recent example of how the capital markets react to the exit (rather the loss) of a leader across the Causeway, which is I have to say is a commendable structure to weather potential repercussions. I hope the relative same can happen should we see an exit here.
Just to share my 1 sen thought from the various readings to-date.
Have a great weekend, folks.

Dear All, ever since the 1 MDB issues arises, do u notice IFCAM price has been dropping non stop n foreign fund took the opportunity to exit this counter? And all our stock market? Mr N.... implemented GST. Let's say if Mr N resign tomorrow how will it affect IFCAM, I wonder? One thing for sure GST play is over. Any food for thought, for intellectual conversation?

Johnny Cash:
1. Fitch downgrade: possible. The weakening currency could increases the country's external borrowing obligations and I think the quantum of national debt could be one of their benchmarks..and look at the opaque manner on how the economy is managed..
2. Ringgit weakening: See http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/business/malaysian-ringgit-may/1909618.html
3. Rate hike - maybe Sep15 though the IMF & World Bank had sound out to the Fed to consider deferment to 2016
I buy your suspicion that the market is 'adjusting', or rather 'readying' itself before anything takes place.
Glad and good to share my 1 sen worth.

Keep your eyes on the development of MERS. I believe a number of us could had gone through the SARS days.
Trade wisely. These 'qualitatives' are usually not factored into analysts' reports before they happen but only materially considered as attributes after things happen. "Aviation activities took a hit with some 70% drop in travel as tourists refrain from travelling due to SARS"....does that ring a bell?

What are the companies worth? Eventually, this is what it comes down to. It’s not enough to buy a share in a good idea, or even a good business. You must buy it at a reasonable (or, hopefully, a bargain) price.

Do I need to dream or rather I have the liberty to craft my desired dream when I had a 70% & 85% realised gains in my earlier rounds and my current 3rd cycle here is still in excess of 100% unrealised capital gain despite the slide? That is 1 moral lesson for the benefit of the immoral: never bite the hands that nurture and flourish you.

Not necessarily attractive if we piece the reason behind the weakening and what could potentially flow thereafter..ie. today money changer 2.7 then tomorrow 2.8..how? You can the uncertainty?
Posted by madmoney > Jun 12, 2015 11:22 AM | Report Abuse
@accu, actually with the ringgit being so weak, EPF has been more restricted to the local market. Not to mention with the exchange rate, it is actually more attractive for foreign funds with CASH to enter the Malaysian market now

No worries, siowlang. My position in i3 has been to interact and share views with fellow investors, and frankly, which is healthy as all of us remain inter-connected in hope for capital gains together.
Economic fundamentals had changed notably from the probable entry times as suggested below, and from an investor standpoint I can understand those folks' positions from a foreign currency risk standpoint though as much as we retail investors do not like it. The upper economic folks need to buck up...or should I change the word buck to wake? I think they do not know the extent of eroding confidence in local capital markets..
Posted by siowlang > Jun 12, 2015 10:54 AM | Report Abuse
Ozzie: And just a disclaimer first so the rest don't flame me (see my historical comments on other stocks), I never made a buy or sell call on any. I pulled data from my Bloomberg terminal. Most foreign funds entered in February to late end of April. The largest on who entered will be Baring Asset Management (13 mil shares) in End Feb, Legg Mason, Samsung investment Trust Management, Adepa Asset Management, Blackrock. Their cost must have been high as they entered during this period.
Hence my pure guess is that their auto cut-loss in their system has been breached and hence the force-selling over the last 2 weeks.

madmoney: Its harder than said. Its easy for Cornerstone investors to come in at IPO because the Co will have a huge allocated block, but for a cornerstone to come in and take say 10-15% of the paid-up share cap, its tough as it'll drive prices up too much. Most they can do is a 132D placement and place 10% share cap to one investor. But with the volatility and beta of the stock and what has transpired over the last 2-3 weeks, who dares to? They must really convince their investors.

Frankly, it doesn't matter. It's just stocks. I can't be living in fear 24/7 if I choice to be in IFCA or anywhere else, agree? Don't worry about me, I can afford it.
And by the way, Orionpacific invested his monies in hope for a better future for his grandchildren. I can understand his position as a responsible grandpa if he exits, though I do not know him in person in reality. It is a waste that he might wish to consider giving you a job to help track his portfolio prices as I can see that you are doing it fervently and undying conviction that I bring myself to put up a recommendation on the presumption that you probably need a job?
Cheers. Happy investing.
