@6868: If you have seen my prior posts, I am not exactly pleased over the proposed acquisition by share issuance of 'that shipping business', if you consider the following extracted from the seller's latest qtr announcement across the Causeway:

1. The Group reported a pre-tax loss of SGD 4.175m for the 9-mth ended 30 September 2014;

2. The share of ASSOCIATE/JV* losses for the 9-mth stood at SGD 2.735m

* Extracted from Page 13 >> Share of losses of associates and joint ventures of S$2.7 million in 9M 2014 is attributed to the Group’s associated company-Semua International Sdn Bhd and its subsidiaries
(“Semua Group”) mainly due to the operating losses.

Estimated 9-mth LOSSES of Semua Group based on 49% stake by Hoe Leong:
(2.735m x 2) @ exchange rate 2.6 >> RM 14.22m

Semua Group account for some 65.5% of Hoe Leong's Group loss despite incepting some RM 150m voyage charter contracts back in 2013 (?). (http://www.shareinvestor.com/news/news.html?source=si_express&nid=65120)

The other factor you might wish to think about is the seller's willingness to let go without any cash required from the buyer. Would you in the same position do that and if yes, Why?

I anticipate the Singapore seller's cumulative losses to widen for the full year of 2014 largely contributed by Semua.

@Ange1: Sorry I made a mistake. The next qtr is due only in Mar'15. I do not foresee their results to be good, possibly another operating loss as to my knowledge their operating activities had not taken off reasonably. I am also sceptical on their recent announcement to acquire loss making Semua Shipping, which was disposed by Sumatec formerly as part of their regularisation plan and now the Singapore owner is prepared to sell off Semua without any cash required from Asiabio, which I am not overall comfortable about.

So I think it's just monkey play that explain the movements. Who are the monkeys? :)

It might just be a mild goreng before its qtr report due end of this week. Operationally the Company has not taken off.
