All-in, CIMB Research initiated coverage on Instacom/Vivocom with an ADD rating and sum-of-parts (SOP)-based target price of 72 sen, valuing the latter’s construction business at 9x FY2017 price-to-earnings ratio (P/E).

“We believe that Vivocom has massive P/E re-rating potential given the large valuation gap with its construction peers and zero analyst coverage,” rationalized the research house. “It is trading at FY2017 fully-diluted P/E of 3.0x, 80% discount to the sector FY2017 P/E of 14.5x which is unjustified given its 456% FY2015-FY2017 EPS CAGR (earnings per share cumulative compound annual growth rate).”
