Besides, now no longer is whether new independent review already. It require full audit.

ABOUT BURSA ASKING UPDATE FOR INDEPENDENT REVIEW. I POINTED OUT HERE HOW CAN IT BE, WHEN KPMG ALREADY RESIGNED. WHAT IS THE POINT OF INDEPENDENT REVIEW.

clearance can be given for dec 2019 audit.

Whoever is new independent reviewer, will start from 1st January 2020 onwards upto 30th June 2021 and post balance sheet events.

There is no way any auditing firm will stonewall any client based on that. It will be suicidal. Dont forget SD can complain to SC about this too.

Question you should ask is why didn't closed door sessions between SC, SD and KPMG happen and why KPMG jump the gun instead, and consequently now SD is now "mati hati".

Surely, the special audit's scope would be limited to those queries KPMG raised. It would be quite a simple affair then.

NO!! but lest the jester of the court sings. Not so simple, my simple minded amoebas.

Let me put it in baby talk for you developing lot then.

To focus just on issues raised by KPMG (i.e. ticking the boxes and filling the blanks to their management letter) is unrealistic.

In the grandest of schemes, the issues raised by KPMG is just one of the few stops of the journey. It is the journey that EY wants to audit, to satisfy itself that KPMG's issues are addressed appropriately, completely and accurately.

You can think of this example below.

There is no point admiring Seremban, when the journey is from Bukit Kayu Hitam to Johor Bahru. The admiration has to be from start to finish. To focus on Seremban, would do no justice to the journey as each town/city has its own unique attractions and vices. You will be missing out alot.

It will be another full audit with a wider scope than that of the KPMG's management letter.

My opinion is that they have been extremely evasive. What they have said is basically "KPMG is shit. We're innocent." when they should have addressed the transactions worth RM 3bil one-by-one. OR, simply hire EY asap to investigate, rather than throwing a tantrum at the press conference.



Their gripe was that KPMG went to SC without SD knowledge when trying to solve the issues. Then SC raided SD, and news broke out to the public.

QR late was small matter, as long issue is solved by discussion with KPMG. But KPMG went nuclear.
