KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in T7 Global Bhd, which has been on a general uptrend, rose 2% in early trade following its latest corporate news.


Its share gained 2.44%, or 1.5 sen to 63 sen with 4.42 million shares traded.


T7 Global announced that it would be investing about RM200mil in its metal treatment plant in Serendah over the next three to five years.


The plant, located in the UMW High Value Manufacturing Park and set to cater for the aerospace industry, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.


It has obtained all the the necessary approvals and construction will begin soon.


With the completion of the construction of this facility by end of the year, it is expected to start contributing to the group's revenue by the first half of FY2019.

T7Global: Bandar Malaysia, ECRL, Metal treatment plant = multi year high

T7Global is currently officiating the opening of its groundbreaking metal treatment plant with Kilgour at UMW High Manufacturing Value Park, Serendah. Several high ranking officials are present at this event, poised to be marked as the first of many multi year profitability business for T7Global.

We gather that the Group is closed to potentially securing a high value contract for ECRL with the joint venture with China State Construction Engineering. We believe that the newsflow will gather pace after that, potentially securing the lucrative Bandar Malaysia deal or sub contract works.

On its oil & gas business, as oil prices are high, the Group is expected to secure newer projects in the near term. Orderbook remains healthy and tenderbook remains high with many contracts bid for RAPID and exploration project.

The Group is also involved in upstream oil & gas business via its Australia E&P purchased more than a year ago. Drilling has begun and the Group will start to recognize revenue from upstream oil & gas this year. Given high oil prices, the Group will certainly benefit from this venture.

We gather that sentiment on T7Global is very high at the moment due to many positive newsflow for the Group:

1. Mega infrastructure projects with joint venture with China State Construction Engineering

2. Turnaround of its oil & gas business

3. Bullish crude oil prices

4. Ventures into high value engineering business - Aerospace, mega infrastructure construction

5. Share price based on market capitalization is still very cheap

We believe that the increased trading interest in T7Global is due to many positive sentiments with no real visible negative sentiment.
