Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) bought 64 million shares in Wilmar International Ltd., according to a March 8 filing on the Singapore Exchange.

The shares were purchased from Martua Sitorus, Wilmar’s co-founder and deputy chairman, for S$199.8 million ($144,668,500) or S$3.12 per share. This investment raises ADM’s holding in Wilmar from 19% to 20%.
On Oct. 20, 2015, in response to a query about an unusually highly level of trading of its shares, Wilmar acknowledged that ADM had been purchasing shares.

Wilmar told the Singapore Exchange that ADM had purchased shares in Wilmar reflecting approximately 22% of total sales volumes for Oct. 20.
On Oct. 16, 2015, ADM sold its cocoa business to Olam International for $1.2 billion. ADM then increased its shares in Wilmar from the 17.3% that it reached in December 2014 when it purchased 60 million shares for $147 million.

Wilmar has assets in soy crushing, edible oil refining and packaging, palm plantations, palm refineries, biodiesel production, specialty fats and oleochemical fatty acids throughout Asia.


Looking at this , FGV emerging share holders by Wilmar should post more cash revenues for FGV in land developments and replanting process for young oil palm trees.

there shall be turnaround on YKGI should the actions taken coincide with the promised improvement in the revenue and production efficiency including employment stated issues.

Conclusion from the matter arising of the MODIFIED OPINION/ MATTER DATED 21 APR 2017

In relation to the above, the Board wishes to advise on the following:-
(i) The Independent Auditors have expressed unqualified opinion on the FS2016
and that their opinion is not modified in respect of the Statement on that matter;
(ii) YKGI has already started the process of addressing the net current liabilities
through asset disposal which was completed in early February 2017 and
implementation of business turnaround plan. In 2016, YKGI Group registered
an improvement of its profitability with an operating profit of RM2.09 million
compared to an operating loss of RM19.82 million in 2015; and
(iii) YKGI Group is continuously improving its production efficiency with the view of
achieving better production yield and lower production cost. To achieve that,
the Group is doing realignment of product mix, production scheduling and staff
redeployment exercise.
