Spidee, your question on economy/interest rate is too complex for me lah, so I think it is best that I let our economist CCH share his view on the matter.....and I think he has given a very reassuring answer.....:))
Bro CCH, I think I share your observation that even though there was an outflow of fund but the overall impact on the market has been minimal. I think if there is no major crisis (something the market not expecting) happening, our market should be okay, even when interest rate rises next year cos i think it has already been discounted by the market. Like what happened to the tapering of QE.
Having said that, given that the big cap and index link stocks are at pricey level, I think the upside will also be capped. I also think that the shift to good/undervalued mid-cap will continue, stock like KSL will benefit esp now that it is in the radar of investor/fund.
In the next few months, if PRKCORP is successfully taken private, then I will have to relocate the fund currently locked there to somewhere else, that's when I might be buying KSL more aggressively. So I am actually hoping that it will NOT move up too much too fast.......haha I think spidee will kill me on this....:))

Unemployment rate at a low 5.9%, bad for interest rate but good for profit.....and the market rallied.

The correction these few days might have caused some uneasiness so I hope if I can help a little.
When you look at this stock, you should look at its "ingredient".
1)Undervalue in term of PE ratio and its assets.
2)It's strong management (from past records).
3)Its growth potential.
4)Its stable income (recurring + property dev.)

Why it didn't perform until only recently? OR what was its main weakness in the past?
1)The management used to keep a very low profile.
2)Access to info. by analyst have been difficult (that was why HLIB ceased coverage)
3)Investor no eye see due to no coverage by analyst.
4)No dividend for the past 3 years.

What has changed to result a re-rating and the current uptrend?
1)Management has opened up, they met analyst and held conferences.
2)They provide info on sales target and direction of the company (Kenanga initiated coverage)
3)They start to listen and reward shareholders (Bonus and divvy reinvestment plan)

But the current price is already double its 52 week low, it is still undervalued?
The answer is YES.
Because if the company has now done away its past weaknesses and it is operating like any other listed property stock, WHY SHOULD IT TRADE AT A DISCOUNT TO ITS PEERS !!

On the current correction, should shareholder be worrying?
The answer is NO.
We don't know why there was selling pressure (suspected to come from only few big boys). We don't know their game plan or may be they are locking in some profit after recent gain...we don't know.
But I always remember one good quote from Warren Buffet....he said if you are looking to buy into one good stock, you need not have to worry if the stock market will close down tomorrow and remain closed for the next 10 years.
Got the message?

Why I have confident that it will continue to be re-rated?
I think the current rally has helped to generate a lot of needed attention. A lot of new investors and funds have noticed this stock recently, and I'm sure those who did their homework will agree that this is not a goreng stock.
And smart investor/fund do not chase price, knowing very well that every gain will take time to digest, they will buy only when they feel that it is done with the correction/consolidation process.

But if the selling was due to poor fundamental, then we should be worried, but it is not. so, when the voting is completed then the weighing will apply.......10 times PE means RM7......:))

spidee, I observed that it could come from only 1 seller.....reason unknown. But ppl do thing with a reason. I think it is still in play but we don't know their game plan. It also could be forced selling.
what it is, it's still an opportunity to buy cheaper.....as long as it is for long term, this short term selling does not matter.
