tsy88 - Sntoria:

Remains bullish. Currently consolidating with selling pressures well absorbed. Immediate support at 1.50. 2 failed attempts to break resistance at 1.60 but if broken, it will ride towards its TP of 1.71.

Sntoria-WA:

It is trending like its mother's share with immediate support at 0.96 and resistance at 1.05. TP1 is 1.13.

citiwai/Dunknow - as you maybe aware, we do not advise on buy and sell decisions. The next 2 support levels for SMRT are 0.775 and 0.72 respectvely. You will need to assess your own risk/benefits to decide.

Dunknow - If a stock hits its stop loss, some traders may go in on the believe that it could be a temporary dip while others will not go in at all. It all depends on your risk profile. From a TA standpoint, if it has hit stop loss, it means its support has been broken.

Bs1688 - That's a good question. First of all, its important to note that all indicators were created by their respective creators based on certain mathematical premise. They all have their merits, their usefulness and accuracies. Secondly, its important to know that the indicators by themselves do not specifically give you a buy or sell signal. We, as traders, have to interpret them.

To answer your question, it depends on the stock that you are trading and what signals you are looking for. For a trending stock, trend indicators like Moving Average may become useful. Understand too that certain indicators work best with certain types of stock.

Different traders use indicators that they are comfortable with and those that they know from experience are reliable with certain types of stocks. We usually use a combination of indicators. I personally use the RSI and Volume indicator a lot to complement the candlestick and pattern readings. Yet there are other traders who primarily use the Bollinger Band while others may prefer the MACD and so on and so forth. But do bear in mind that sometimes, some indicators can give a misleading signal.

So, it really depends and of course, trading experience plays a part as ultimately we ourselves have to interpret the signals.

jm678 - not a problem at all. I will be happy to help within my capacity. Just one tip for you - Do not overwhelm yourself with too many indicators as you may get you conflicting signals.

jm678 - For mid term trading, we usually look at the the weekly chart while for short term trading, the daily chart would be more applicable. And for long term investments, besides the chart, I would suggest that you look into the FA side as well like dividend yield, growth prospects and stuff like that.

In short term trading, we use a shorter time frame, generally a 12 or 14 days SMA against a 25 or 30 days SMA. We usually look at the weekly chart for a sense of the mid-term direction of the stock and then go into the daily chart and trade base on this. Of course, we must also bear in mind that different traders may trade differently.

pathew - APFT seems to have good volume on it recently and also seems to have cleared its 0.19 resistance. The more important resistance it needs to take out is 0.23. If it does that, we could be looking at a potential price reversal. You have a rather good entry price. Congratulations. My only reservations about this stock is the amount of overhang it has.

But the other 2 that you mentioned, Tekseng and Teoseng looks pretty good. They just broke out of their flag formation and are bullish. Teksend broke out with good volume while it would be good if Teoseng can garner more trading volume in the days ahead. I hope you are in these 2. Good profits to rake in. These 2 stocks seems to have awaken from a long slumber sleep ...hahaha....

siena - Pchem:

Bearish. Has broken its strong support at 6.58. Any further weakness would see it trend towards 6.36, a 78.6% retracement level. Todate, it has retraced to the 61.8% retracement level. Resistance is now located at 6.58. It is now trading in an oversold position.

siena - Dialog:

Under correction after it broke down from the uptrend line on 18/7 after the ex-date for its bonus issue of 1 for 1. Seems to have found a strong support base at 1.75/1.76. Strong resistance is expected at 1.83. It needs to take out its resistance at 1.87 with volume for any meaningful price reversal. If you are bottom fishing, you may want to set a stop loss at 1.73.

Bs1688 - Ecofirst:

Bullish. Should have good support at 0.35. It has finally taken out its resistance at 0.385 on 22/8 with volume. If it does not succumb to heavy profit taking activities, then it should be poised to scale higher. TP1 = 0.43 and TP2 = 0.48.

rchi - I quite agree with you on the spin off effect of the MAS restructuring on aax and airasia. It would be interesting to see the restructuring plans and how decisive they are this time round in making those really tough decisions to turn it around. Any route cuts would be benefiting to aax and airasia and it is certainly worth tracking these 2 stocks.

Axin - Bertam:

It is bearish after breaking the support of 1.06, which was also the gap support, in its double top formation. On 22/8, it closed at its support level of 0.89. If this support is broken, it will trend towards its next support at 0.835. Immediate resistance is at 0.925 and it should face strong resistance at 1.00 thereafter. Currently the stock is in an oversold position.

In fact, we do owe a word of thanks to all visitors here who have been very mature, respectful and courteous in their comments as after all, I believe we are all educated mature adults who share a common interest in the share market. On the same breath, it is also important to note that we believe in freedom of speech, in a respectful way but it is absolutely crucial that we must accept that there can be differences of opinions and at the end of it, we must be able to agree to disagree. After all, it is not You versus I but rather Us versus KLSE!

jm678 - I suppose you can look for signals by analyzing the volume and the emas index and small cap shares index. My personal view is that those short term traders who bought in on the panic sell wave could have taken profits when the counters rebounded. So, there could be residual selling pressures on Monday or Tuesday. I am not so sure if you will see a big sell down on Monday or Tuesday but I may be wrong.

inwest88 - yes, there are actually markers that traders set in all trades. As you maybe already aware, if we are riding on profits, the trailing stops that we set would protect our profits. In the Sumatec case, when the price falls from a high of 0.92, I would probably sell off at 0.88/0.89 if it reverses down. And if the price falls from the entry price, I would sell once it hits the stop loss price that was set before we enter the trade without a second thought. I noticed you have been trading this way too. So, it is very similar to your approach.

But what is most critical, as you have previously mentioned before, is the discipline to sell once it hits our trailing stop or stop loss and not trade on the Hope that the price will go up again. In Matrix word, don't let greed take over.

tsy88 - a dead cat bounce is basically a temporary, short lived recovery in price during the decline of a share. Yes, it has negative implications. After a long decline in a share, its price reverses up. It will appear as if the share has recovered with traders buying in thinking that the price has bottomed out only to find a continuation in the decline of the share when it reverses down and starts to form new lows.

madhas - Sinotop:

We are not in a position to advise you on buying and selling but we can lay out the factors for you to consider. This stock has broken out of its rectangle trading on 18/8. Support = 0.07 while resistance = 0.09. As it has been range bound for a long time, there is a lot of over hang with this stock. Unless there is a strong catalyst to propel its price onto another plateau, any increase in price could be met with investors trying to clear their position. Your remisier could be in possession of information that will catalyze the price movement in which case you will need to check back with him/her.

285investor - Astino:

On the daily chart, it has been trading sideways since July. It unsuccessfully attempted to break a new high on 19/8 and you can probably expect more sideway movement with a bearish undertone as it is trading with a price/RSI divergence. Currently has support at 1.72 with strong resistance at 1.90. If 1.72 support is broken, it will head towards 1.65.

We do not advise on buying/selling decisions. To hold or to cut loss depends on your investment time frame and you will also want to factor into your consideration, the bonus issue that you will be receiving. Short term traders may want to set a stop loss at 1.70/1.71. A quick glance at its financial statement revealed a fundamentally sound company.

jm678 - Seal:

It has been consolidating under the dark cloud formed on 23/7 and has retraced 23.6%. Seems to have found good support around 1.28 while at the same time, it is unable to take out its 1.37 resistance. If the 1.37 resistance is broken with volume, it will re-test its high of 1.49. It is currently treading in an oversold territory. However, if the 1.28 support is broken with volume, it will trend towards the 1.16/1.17 support level. You may want to set a stop loss at 1.26/1.27.
