htyeap: thank you for helping out on MKLand.
gerry188: skyhawk is very good at Elliots especially with the sub wave readings.
JamieO: My interpretation is a wave 3 for Minho, which is the longest and most bullish wave to ride.
Mat: congrats on Brem. I missed out on it as I am trading to my max and could not liquidate last week to move over to Brem. Well, maybe 3A then. See, I told you. You are on a profitable wave!

novice8: BJAuto - After scaling a new high to 2.27, it has gone into a correction mode as expected because it traded with price/RSI divergence from 4/4. The 2 marubozu formation on 24 & 25/4 suggest sellers exhaustion and a potential bullish push but they were formed on declining volume. So, you may want to monitor closely today's trading pattern. Please note that the marubozu formation does not mean a definite bullish run. Sometimes it can either go into consolidation or a bearish mode.
Immediate support is 2.00 but it seems to be forming a base support at 2.04. Immediate resistance is at 2.17 before re-testing the major resistance at 2.27.
FA wise, based on its latest unaudited reports, it looks good with healthy increases in revenue and operating profits which naturally transmit into an increased basic EPS of 11.35 sen and it has no bank borrowings. It also transformed its negative cash flow from operations in 2013 to a positive cash flow in 2014 which is a good sign. The launch of its CKD models later this year, should boost its top and bottom line further.

Mat: Rather busy today. Will do BJAuto and MKLand for Novice8 later. SF and HTyeap or whoever else out there will need to help out on the rest. You guessed right, tonight will be busy with the Liverpool game. Congrats on the MU win last night. Hope they get back their footing.
I can do Elliot Waves BUT I am not good at it. Yes, you're correct, the sub waves are not easy to read. Some i3 people are very good at it and I do respect them a lot. The theory is simple but reading it is not. I use it just to know at which wave the share is in. Even so, sometimes, I may be wrong.

Novice8 : will do BJAuto later. Sorry. Gerry's w5 sw5 refers to the sub wave 5 of wave 5 on the Elliot Wave. After this wave, the share is expected to undergo the corrective wave down.

Joyous - Mat is right. For FA, you need to know finance. A tip for you, there are 2 critical areas you need to learn for share investing - learn to interpret financial ratios and financial reports and valuations, i.e. how to value a company which means calculating intrinsic values.

Mat - no problem. Yeah, looking forward to seeing you guys and gals too.

deedee - good question. Yes, you can wait for it to clear the resistance at 0.93 with volume. Its a safer approach. Aggressive traders will usually look at the following day's candle, i.e. today. If it gaps up today on opening and rallies up, then it offers a buy signal. But because the preceding candle (23/4) is a bearish candle, we need to be careful. It gapped up today but not by a lot and currently still a lot of weakness moving forward. So, there could still be a lot of sellers out there. We do not want to caught with a false breakout. It might be best see how the candles evolve over today and the next trading session to have a better idea of the trend. Hope this help.
joyous - i quite agree with Mat in that no one here is a sifu. We are all equal. There are people offering TA courses but you will need to check them out. Alternatively, you can google on TA and FA where you will find lots and lots of information from the basics to advance levels and there are also info on youtube as well. This was how I started.
There are also books you can buy and I think Mat has got 1 or 2 book titles that are good. Generally, I find a lot of TA books, in my opinion, not very well written except for a few.

robertoBaggio66 - GHLSys: Did the following analysis for spider99 on 16/4:-
GHLSys: Has turned bearish with an immediate support price of 0.855 and an immediate resistance of 0.96. Made a MACD bearish crossover on 15/4. It has retraced more than 61.8% since it first broke out with volume on 24/3. Major support is at 0.80. Any further selling tomorrow with volume, could see it trending towards 0.855.
I would suggest you set a stop loss price in case the bearish momentum increases. If you wish to buy in further, I would suggest you wait for a price reversal pattern as you are probably aware, we do not want to catch a falling knife.
Update Analysis (24/4):
It went through a minor technical rebound from 18/4 to 22/4 and as anticipated, further selling brought the price down towards its support at 0.855, which it did touched today before closing at 0.885. It is in a oversold position and has retraced 78.6%. Immediate support is now at 0.80 and immediate resistance at 0.93.
It formed a hammer candle today implying that the downtrend could be over. However, it is advisable to wait for a bullish confirmation before you consider taking positions because it did tested 0.855 indicating there are still substantial sellers in the market.

pathew/splendid - thanks for the added input. Excellent constructive discussion on this sector. I believe GST will have a direct and indirect impact on all industries, a chain effect.
I have traded Hua Yang in the past but have not been updated on it lately. Its FA only improved during these last 2 yrs, if I remember correctly. Nevertheless, I quite agree with pathew, Matrix has more room for growth.
2014-04-24 11:07 | Report Abuse
pathew - My take on the property sector: for the time being, property play is still ok as I do not foresee a slump in this sector. But what I do foresee is the possibility of a slow down in rolling out new projects in view of the GST implementation until there is more clarity on GST details with regards to rates in particular. This may impact incremental revenue temporarily. So, there may be a lack of catalyst to springboard the prices to another level. But well managed property companies can still be an attractive buy.
I am not very familiar with the FA of MKH and E&O, but like you, I particularly like Matrix Concept and Ecoworld. I use to trade Matrix & Ecoworld but my itchy finger sold it off for some gains. I am still monitoring Matrix for a possible re-entry as my medium term investment.

brandonyeap - KNM: Bearish although the selling volume is tapering down. Has broken below the support trend line at 0.855. It has temporarily found support at 0.825. If it is not able to hold at this price, it will trend down to 0.77/0.78. immediate resistance is 0.935.
The decision to buy in at any given price is yours. You might want to wait for the selling pressure to ease further accompanied with low volume and if possible, wait for a bullish reversal pattern for entry.
Caution: please note that this counter does not have good FA. Although it has positive cash flow from operations, it does not have a history of strong cash flow. The listing of its subsidiary, Borsig in S'pore is still pending, I believe. If this listing goes through, then it would free up valuable cash for KNM.
However, as traders, we trade based on the present and the foreseeable future and I see the Borsig listing surrounded with a lot of uncertainties due to delays. So, if you want to trade this counter, I would suggest you follow your trading plan strictly. Good luck.

cocoa - TDM: It is on a bullish trend. Opened with a gap up on 22/4 with good volume. Do be cautious as it formed another bearish harami on 23/4, which can mean uncertainties creeping in again. Do remember to revise your profit protection price and stop loss price in case the trade turn against us. Support is now at 0.975 and resistance at 1.13. Good luck.

novice8 - thank you very much for yr help. Really appreciate it.
minmin - Symlife: Update analysis:- attempted to scale above its major resistance at 1.19 but failed due to profit taking. This is to be expected as the rise has been very quick. If it breaks below 1.10, it should find support at 1.05/1.06. Do remember to set your stop loss price or profit protection price whichever is applicable.

Chin Aik - Bright: did this for richcares earlier on 22/4 and is as follows:-
Has cleared its resistance of 0.765 temporarily. Subjected to profit taking after hitting a high of 0.825 and a dark cloud was formed on 18/4, an indication it will go into consolidation. The profit taking is to be expected as traders caught in the downtrend will clear their positions besides short term traders. Support is at 0.695 with resistance at the recent high of 0.825.
Today, 23/4, it formed a bullish harami, a bullish reversal pattern.

novice8 - no, I am not in Padini after clearing all at my stop loss price of 2.02 yesterday. But I will be when a price reversal pattern emerges. The sell down is on high volume, above its average MA volume and it may not be over. The bearish engulfing candle on 16/4 is still hanging over it.

Carrie Loh - TGOffs: Has been consolidating between 0.545 (support) and 0.58 (resistance). It broke out with volume yesterday (22/4) overcoming its 0.58 resistance and also broke the downtrend resistance line at 0.602 and is bullish at the moment. The next resistance it should be testing is 0.635.
I have just started to trade this counter with an entry price of 0.605. If you are entering counters like this one at an early stage in anticipation of a bullish run, it is very important to set a stop loss price target in case we are wrong and the trade turn against us with a substantial retracement. My stop loss price is 0.57.
Matrix - I cleared my Padini at 2.02 too but mine is for a small loss when it touched my stop loss price.

trader96 - Barakah: Trading in a rectangle with a support line at 1.48 and a resistance line at 1.60. Seems to have found good support at 1.53 over the past 5 trading sessions. A break above the 1.60 will see it test the next resistance level at 1.67. The relatively higher volume on 21/4 testing the resistance of 1.60 could potentially be the start of an uptrend. If successful, it carries an immediate target price of 1.70.
Maybulk: Broke out with volume on 2/4 with a gap up. Scaled a new high of 2.24 on 11/4 but the bullish momentum was rejected by strong bearish undertones on 15/4 with the formation of a bearish engulfing candle. It has turned bearish since. If the support price of 2.04 is broken through, it would trend down further to the next support level at 1.97. Please note that it underwent a 100% retracement since breakout on 2/4.

cocoa - TDM: Range bound trading within the support line at 0.905 and the resistance line at 0.995. It is currently pursuing a bullish trend after the doji formed on 9/4 but the bearish harami of 15/4 is an indication that it could be entering into a period of uncertainty and possibly into a consolidation phase. Need to break out of its resistance at 0.995 with volume to have a valid bull trend. If successful, it will trend towards its previous high of 1.05, the next resistance level before moving into new highs.
