VSMY, Sona has not own any share in the company. The whole transaction has not completed yet. Thus, it is merely a conditional agreement, provided SC approve, shareholders agree, at the mean time, Salamander also may accept other better offer.

nooniez, I think Salamander most valuable asset is the Thailand oil field. They are bidding on to take the company, mean whatever assets hold by the company will belong to them after all.

Alex, If Ophir buy the whole company, Sona deal will definitely pull off. Ophir will not let Sona partially or wholly manage the operation.

There are many terms and conditions in the Agreement btw SONA and Salamander, which I dont think Ophir will agree with, as they are buying the company means they want full control of the asset.

VSMY, Sona's offer is much better than other bidders. It is based on the valuation of 90/95-100 per barrels. Luckily their production cost is considered lowand cheap as compare to many competitors.

Yet, some are expecting the Opec meeting@ members of Opec will do something to increase oil price...

Based on current oil price, none of these companies will better off SONA. In fact, i believe it is on the SONA management, whether they still want to proceed with the deal.

Oil price is floating, and yet, many countries are heavily relying on it to survive. How long can they stand when oil price is hanging at $75 - $ 80? So, pray hard and hope that global oil producers will try best to push it back to, at least above $85 per barrel.
