I subscribed via Rakuten already. In my opinion, is better to subscribe than selling the OR/let it forfeitted. Have higher chance to reduce loss once converted to mother share and the warrants are free. Can sell the warrants also. Lesser risk than to cut loss now.

Your 11 May link confirmed my Point #1 about antibody RTK is not the recommended approach, not just by Malaysia but also worldwide as per WHO guideline. RT-PCR test is still the most reliable method until today. Antigen RTK is also a swab test, do you know that?

Your 29 June link just telling the prices for each type of test. It doesn't mean anything, and of course still doesn't change the fact that RT-PCR test is the most reliable and recommended approach to confirm a Covid19 infection. You can prove me wrong if you can find any link to show that Antibody RTK is the best method!! Come on, fact is fact.

Here's How It Works

- The healthcare worker opens the card and lays it flat on a countertop.
- Extraction reagent is added to the test card, which is about the size of a credit card.
- A nasal swab is taken from the patient.
- A technician inserts the swab into the test card, folds over the cover and in 15 minutes, reads the result.

1. The Rapid Test Kit method is not the recommended approach by MOH. Dr Hisham already explained many times before RTK is almost useless to identify covid19 infection. Why? If tested positive, means you have antibody only, does it mean you still carry active virus and you can infect others? Nobody knows. And if tested negative, doesn't mean you are not infected, because the virus is there and no antibody built yet. Hence, this way of testing is total not reliable that's why is cheap compared to the proper RT-PCR method.

2. RT-PCR test kit currently is more expensive because it's imported from overseas. Adham Baba and PM Muhyidin already announced recently that for medical devices, gov will buy from local if the products can be produced/manufactured locally instead of importing from overseas which is more costly and have logistics constraint due to high demand. The RT-PCR testing can now be cheaper or more affordable if the gov/hospitals can get it from local producer.

3. Profit margin for 3D Nasal Swab should be very high. Why? Because it is using 3D printer technology. Just print only, like printing paper. No need to have big and complicated machines and the raw materials used can be easily sourced in Malaysia. Just print as much as you want. Like printing money :)

4. In order to fully reopen the business, open the borders for tourists and to end the MCO, mass testing is required. Do you know how many Malaysians crossing the border to SG on daily basis? How many tourists flying in/out of Malaysia? How many foreign workers who are staying in the dorms need to be tested? There are reports showing that reinfection can happen, meaning that someone has recovered can be infected again. European countries haven't gone through the full winter season with Covid19 yet, this coronavirus reached them during last Spring season or end of Winter. Lastly, nasal swab is not used purely for Covid19 only, it can be used for other flu like infections like Influenza, hence it will be a long term business.

Who else can produce nasal swab in Malaysia, gone through the certification process and got the MDA approval? Is a monopoly opportunity.

Even when market sentiment not good, K1 still can go up green.
Imagine when HC counters rebound, K1 will fly further up.
Just stay tuned for more good news from K1 after this, they should make some announcement like secured some big contracts to supply the 3D Nasal Swabs now.
Without any secured orders, i don't think why K1 need to buy a new factory, for sure there must be a reason behind.

They did not buy an empty land. K1 bought the 2 lands with existing factories which can be quickly refurbished for production.

There must a reason for expansion if order book has increased tremendously otherwise there's no need for expansion if orders are declining.

Management will explain more the details in upcoming QR, even though the hints are already there "to accommodate the expected uptick in manufacturing demands, arising particularly from the medical/healthcare industry in the near term".

Definitely big boys are buying, with 160mil volumes, not ikan bilis investors like us can do.

Hoseh liao, the new factory acquisition just came on time. This can house additional 15 production lines which can add 2-3bil capacity, and just nearby which is easy to manage. As mentioned in the QR, another existing warehouse will be converted to add 6 new production lines or 1bil capacity.

Currently based on last QR with 4bil capacity already can achieved 20mil+ PAT. Now, with the additional 3-4bil capacity, that's another 100% expansion, 40mil+ PAT minimally per quarter.
