You missed the whole point actually. One of the reasons why the then opposition was fiercely critical of the MyEG project (you can check the parliamentary records or simply google it) was the feasibility and cost of the project. Yes, the nation strives to become an e-nation in near future, but what PH (then PR) proposed was an in house fully integrated system to cut cost and reduce cronyism. Further more, MyEG is a monopoly. Before they fully replace the system (I don't think they will in near future as its current system is good enough as you said), they will at least make sure that there is no monopoly in this field. This will already affect its profitability, not to mention its GST monitoring project. SST replacement system remains uncertain and far-fetched.

Yes I agree. MyEG should be priced only around 0.50-0.60 with PE around 8- 10. The previous sky-high valuations given by many investment banks were because of its growth prospect whose main driver was the GST monitoring project. Now that this project is all but certain to be scrapped, the growth prospect will be lowered. And profit margin will need to fall further for this company to compete on an equal basis with other firms. Its revenue growth has already slowed down in recent quarters and is forecast to slow further given the current conditions. So all the way to 0.5

MYEG is clearly overvalued with a PE of 20+. This is not sustainable given the current environment and conditions. Its price will need to continue to fall to a sustainable level before stabilizing

TP are total bullshits. Look how they have changed the TP over the past month. Wondering if the analysts have had good training at the very first place. For the stock price to change from 0.7 to 0.4 in a span of a month time, that shows irrational sentiment at play. It would be foolish to think that the fundamental changed from what's worth 0.7 to 0.4 in a month time. Seems like they always adjust the prices according to market mood. Good times then high price and vice versa. Everyone can do that anyway.

I think this company has strong fundamentals. Just look at the expected earning. A one-off payment of 9 million from VEP, increased revenue from its oil and gas department due to higher oil prices and more. We should be optimistic in near term.

The commitment of the OPEC nations and Russia in easing the global oil supply glut will eventually help stabilize the oil prices. And USD 55-65 range is precisely what the major oil producers desire even for shale gas producers. Flushing the world with excess oil, hence, would not be in the interest of American shale gas producers too, and in fact, their production cost is often higher than traditional oil producers. With this in mind, the hope that oil prices could soon fall on the back of expanding shale gas production will not materialize in near term. They want to make money and profit after all.
