Hi Hafiz,I have been trapped with some so called value stock,I aint gonna say the stocks are not good, which in fact their fundamental are intact. I am not cash rich and my capital is limited, i ain't gonna sit there and wait for N years for market to confirm me. So i think to change my strategy and do some rebalancing on my portfolio. There is nothing you can do while your stock dont move as when market breached new high or market sentiment is very positive.

Whatever you think it is good, might as well get the confirmation from the market. If market shows no interest what can you do? Holding for long term? Yes,provided you are not capital tight and you are patient, or else it might cause you to miss any bull run or u ends up realised your loss while faith gone

Why not let the price to confirm your assestment of undervalue? Holding it might trap you for how long? Probably N years? is it worth?

Good stock normally goes up not goes down. The price itself has already denied itself. buying a downtrend stock might as well trap you with the so called value investing.

basically whats matter is not the huge cash pile, but the interest received is so low in compare to the cash holding? Could you shed some light on this part? What is the rationale of trading below is Net cash per share? just for discussion purpose.

hafiz milip, thanks for your information, my origin intention is to show what i have read at Zee Moola blog, which stated out the suspicious part on CSL accounting. One is better off not to invest in such suspicious counter. Cheer

have been reading this article through a blog, just out of curiosity, have anyone actually holding a stock which provides you with dividend yield of more than 20% annually? OR, can SKPR makes it for us in the time of few years later(10 years?) Assume if you bought at 0.3, with 50% dividend payout ratio,if few years later SKPR "maybe" able to generate EPS of 20cents? 10 cents of net div will be 33.33% DY. If you put in 30k, you actually gain 10k annually, excluding your paper gain. Isn't it very good to have such a consistent cash flow w/o doing anything? Then you can still able to reinvestment the dividend.
Well,i was never think of this before until i read this article, have anyone successfully done this? Just want to figure out. Thanks, haha

for its par value of 50 cents, its 3 cents per share

"He said the Chinese voters forgot about practising moderation and instead voted on racial lines, adding such politics is not healthy.
"We hope the Chinese could think about national harmony in future elections instead of race-based politics," he said."
Malaysia is a democratic country. So, voting is the rights of people and now it have been deemed as racism? We urge for change to bring down the bad one. That's the will of people,as simple as that.

Hi Iska, thanks so much for your information, there are so many things that i don't know and need to further find out, good sharing from you. Others than Sunway, what is your take in this iskandar theme and why?
2013-04-07 21:18 | Report Abuse
Hi Iska, yes i agree with you, its more towards uncertainty now, my knowledge on property development is poor as well. However, if the proposed building of rapid transit to SG is on(have it?) its indeed a positive catalyst for the property there. So instead of betting on those companies with great landbank, maybe one should look for those really good property developer. Sunway's construction units can contribute to its bottom line too, which is why i prefer. I think maybe somebody with greater knowledge on this can kindly shed some lights. Thanks
2013-04-07 16:45 | Report Abuse
hey iska,i am intereted on the research conducted by those IB as you mentioned. So far i have only read CIMB ones, could you provide me the link for others? thanks
2013-04-07 16:40 | Report Abuse
i have read an article regarding to the recently sharp rise of the share price for those properties companies. Those companies with significant landbank at JB become the favor and the reason of why people buying the share as the properties price at JB are rising. But please bear in mind, there are some companies which held a huge landbank for nothing for over a decade. What we should looking for is a company which able to develop for the land they have and turn it into profit, the faster and efficient the better. I would prefer those with good reputation. I think sunway and ksl will be my top pick. What about you guys?

Warrant is now trading at very high premium of 57%. Theoretically you can get mother price at cheaper price from market, so it doesn't make sense to buy warrant and exercise it. However, if you intend grab a trading opportunities with warrants, i have not much idea on this as i can't and not good in predicting the price movement. All i know is, it has a long maturity days and high leverage, if you have holding power, it might be good as well. just my half cent.
