“We have actually not decided yet on this (decision on dividends). The board will deliberate on this once our fully audited numbers are out. The decision will be made in March (after the audit),” he said.

How on earth they can create a Co by d name fgv n list with the above conditions! Replanting cost very expensive n after planting takes 5yrs to see profit provided if they can get high yield similar to IOI.After 60 yrs into felda buisness still crying over replanting n talking of high yield besides have to pay millions to felda. Massive over head hv to reduce so how to do it, "Privatise"

Recall that under the LLA signed in 2012, FGV has to pay Felda a fixed amount of RM250mil per year in cash for 20 years and a 15% share of operating profit from the sales of fresh fruit bunches derived from the estate land leased from Felda.

Oil palm plantation componies do adjust d accounts by reducing or stop fertiser application during bad times. My personal view they may or may not do d same to reduce expenditure in order to increase profit. CEO is flip flopping but obvioisly he wish to see a positive report to push price up n with high cpo price from 2000 to 3000 possiblities are very good. So! lets hope for the best.

Please, u cannot turnaround overnight, impossible! First 3q massive loss n 4th q got profit. They may have stopped applying fertilser to reduce expenditure hence I see positive report. This report maybe used to push price up up up n call to privatise, fgv no choice.

......it is d ppl if ioi can get 24mt are they walking wt 2 horns.By private, d ceo can take proactive actions without going thru channels n too many cooks spoil d soup.I have hinted appoint field audit team with intensive training from ioi n closely work with them, throw d pride away n ultimately poor settlers will benefit a lot n PM can get better sleep. Comitted field mgrs must 8hrs in field not elsewhere!

Max2838: Good morning, well said. The root cause of d problem is ppl n overhead expenditure.A good example GLC plantation merged mainly to reduce over expenditure n pay a higher dividend n Si.....was talking of 50cts dividend but failed but now on demerger. After replanting Si... yield only 20mt by right shd get about 24mt, if u do some maths d loss is more then a billion. Fgv went on listing with certain liablity to felda cooperstive, was there a due diligent study done or just rushed to list.By privatising may be d liablity can be erased n of course massive reduction in over head besides a lot of cash required for replanting. my message to CEO train fresh graduates in IOI estates who become field audit team for fgv n they report direct to CEO. The whole of fgv n d Ministry shd talk of IOI standard.Let me give one good example to survive in ioi next to hell, one guy a 3rd grade chief clerk approached IOI boss as he wants to work as traineee mgr n he was given d post. He was promoted to mgr after intensive training n posted to Sabah. Now in tregganu as a GM in another Co. He told 10,000 ha, fuly planted but full of woodies n he has taken d challenge.

probablity: yes you are totally right, I am indeed frustrated, becoz the yield is low becoz of human factor first, then only other reasons, still my conclusion, fgv on uptrend. For that matter CEO himself posted a lot of negative report both in edge n focus n now telling all is over, n that 2016 report will be positive n out on 22/2, he himself is in confusion!!! Writers of edge n focus probably shd have audience with me becoz when they write on oil palm, they are not focussed. I suggest they go n see d IOI n UP estates for themselves n compare with felda. First they must count number of palms in one ha (stand per ha) of IOI n also at random count felda estates n also must notice if any male palms. Also see how good is their "circle palm cleanliness".Make a survey how many hrs mgrs walk in the field etc etc. when fertiliser is applied by right mgrs eyes must fall on each palm n that each palm is d mgrs baby.

If anybody read in between lines, a very clear message from me becoz i love my country n my ppl in M'sia in particular settlers. If they can introduce other high yielding dividend oil palm Cos' plantation supervision standards into felda, from current 20mt/ha/annum to 24mt, price of share will cross RM10 for sure. I am honest n sincere in my message. So what is d issue here. I always talk of pros n cons. As a senior citizen, i am a free lance writer.

the issue of its Turkish subsidiary company Felda Iffco Gida Sanayi, which saw FGV incur a RM57mil loss as part of its 50% shareholding in the venture, Zakaria told StarBiz that previously implemented safeguards may allow the group to recoup some of the declared losses.
Last year, the group discovered fraudulent activities relating to the Turkish ventures which resulted in the losses being incurred.
“The partners did take out a fraud insurance for the project. The prospect of recovering a major part of the losses and a write-back (of the assets that were previously written off) is there. We are hopeful of a satisfactory outcome,” he noted. FGV is set to announce its fourth quarter earnings for the period ended Dec 31, 2016 (Q4FY16) on Feb 22.

......extract from starbiz news altrady posted here, basing on this reports, i feels that 22/2 fgv financial report may be positive n palm oil price about 3000 is good for share price to hover around 2.40

On FGV’s own prospects, Zakaria said that he is confident that the group is on track to achieve its targets for the 2016 financial year.
He has previously pledged to report up to RM100mil in savings for the full year period following an extensive cost-cutting exercise.

“The market will likely peak at the 1,750-1,800-point level in the first half before easing back to the 1,730 level at the end of the year, as investors refocus on Malaysia’s fuzzy long-term economic and corporate earnings trend,’’ said Vincent Khoo, head of research, UOB Kayhian.
Is it just a rebound? “Unless a strong recovery in earnings comes along, the current uptrend is just a recovery from the selldown last year,’’ said Danny Wong, CEO, Areca Capital

Good talk not good enough, as investors we want to know what dividend can we get. Basing share price on nta value may not sustain d price as per expert analysis. If u compare with KLK then can u give d their yield of about 24-25 mt of fruit per hc per annum. S only 20 mt, pls say that u r going to increase supervision n put committment into d mgrs that "best manure for the field are managers footprints". Can expert analysts also say by increasing just 1mt of fruit against 600,000, what is d revenue, pls dont take shareholders for a ride....?
