westgun..trading is all abt timing.
i select my stocks based on strength n voloume.
what is 'strength'?
if the ovreall mkt is falling like ten pins but the stock is unchanged or drop minimal only...if the overall mkt recover slightly but the stock ady started flying like a rocket.
what is volume ?
volume must be much higher preferably twice or more times than normal volumes.
then there is things like 'uptrend',10d, 20 d moving averages,breakouts...etc etc.
haha..i cud go on for hrs but u do it slowly ok.

For example if a stock brokedown with HIGH VOLUME mean the intention to dispose is very CLEAR.......... It is not only technical correction perhaps it could be some early signal about business change or worse still the Revenue and Profit changes......

one thing different is u said 30% initial(when the price is 25) then down to certain(say 22) top up 40%,then back to initial price (25) last 30%

his is lets say i wanna buy when 25 but couldnt get it, so i buy at 30( first 30%),then the price drop to 28(next 30%),then keep the last 30% until the price drop further to 25

since U mention this.....another something to share you...
If you obtain some call you have 2 choices...

1) If not confident, jz walk away and wait for next one
2) If only partial confident but still KIASU...well break ur capital into 3 batches........
