I read in newspaper of perak sinchew, saying that china tourist arrival to maaysia in october plunge 80% due to some chinese new policy. So, not a good thing for genm as most chinese tour will visit genting.

I not a long term player. To me, genm at 4.30 is rather expensive based on PE. But, after some rough study, i guess the interest in genm does not lie within instituition investor, but some other gambling operator cause besides macau, las vegas is the next gambling heaven. I never been there, so not 100% sure.

the dividend is indeed bad. i read that the resors world echelon in vegas strip had started the construction with gdv of over 3 billion. another casino in american soil, besides that racino in ny. i also heard that train service will be available in queens racino 24/7. seems like genting is quite serious in investing abroad.

dont be dissapointed. share market never have mercy. if u think in near term, it is going to down further, just sell. as my case previously on october, the last trade i have with sunway, i sold off at 2.93 with some loss. once off, i divert all cash into Coastal and i even made more.
last week, i came back again at 2.82 and hold till now and will also caut loss if the sentiment iss no good again. the recent i return is, i thought the PE of 8.0 is low enough, but after comparing with Trop, i think it can go even lower.
so, the philosophy in trading is, always have a CUT LOSS TARGET. U LOSE HERE, U MIGHT EARN BACK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

if i not mistaken, last time when rpgt announced in 09, not much impact on property. E and O even climb higher last time. Perhaps something in Sunway which is not good which we might not know.
Sometimes, when u hold some stock too long and lost the chance to buy other uptrend counter is a waste of time, at least to me, as i have limited cash.
So buy or sell is depend on individual appetite and risk factor.

i had played sunway many times, of course which is buy low and sell high, based on my personal price perception.
sunway, is not a pure property developer, it is also one of the major non bumi construction player too, albeit education i believe only contribute a very small fraction of income into its earning, in addition to its reits.
sunway also holding quite some prime land in iskandar johore, and of course, they have plenty of good land in klang valley.
now, the question is, will sunway sustain the future, at least 5 years ahead earning ? look at MIDF report, i believe Sunway is able to do it.
so, my strategic is, if sunway goes below 2.86, i will sell first and see how its support at 2.7 plus.
we are just a retail investor, we can't fight againts the force of institutional player.
with less than 20% outstanding shares and EPS 9.5++ with acceptable gearing, it should be sustainable in long run.

Fundamental does not take into effect when downtrend is in play. Just like when there are more sellers than buyers. This construction and property sector is in downtrend.
I am still holding sunway 30k shares at average 2.93. Basically, i contribute a lot in buying mode since 5th oct.

Next support is 2.70. Dont be too optimistic, anything can happen.
1. Cmmt is capital mall trust. A reit listed in Malaysia.
2. Since when GIC is a rescue fund for Sunway. Sunway that influential in the eyes of lee shien loong?
3. If you really know what the chairman of sunway playing, you will not be here, like me, typing and doing my own research.

it should be via open market. if you look at the trading patterns since 1st oct till today, there are huge blocks 1000 shares dumped and queeue. today, more than 15k lots are selling at q.

Based on what i know, oil and gas did contribute plenty of profits to umw, besides automobil. Perhaps, u can provide a pie chart of the division contribution.
I am not a fan in this umw oil gas ipo. There get delivered of naga 4 recently. Naga 2 is undergoing a major repair. So, conclusion is, what they going to do with the raised capital?
If the oil gas really profitable in next few years, why bother to list? Just split umw shares, get bonus and rights.
Lastly, of course, they have a ace card on hand, which is oil gas division to be listed, and this will provide the major shareholders some handsome and quick profit.
The biggest joke is, hold 1000 and above umw entitled 1000 umw oil&gas. Come on la, you rather provide all umw shareholders with pink form.

Ex date is on 1st oct. So, any purchase today will not entitle any guarantee umwog. I also agree that is not worth to hold umw, as the majority of profits derived from oil and gas.

nowadays, market really behave crazily. now, RHB downgrade, on the other words, we as the anchovies, should buy instead, as RHB always act on the other way round.
secondly, loan is getting tough since many implementation by BNM recently, which we have no doubt.
thirdly, with inflation rising, ( hope the government will not tell rubbish that CPI in healthy state after PETROL PRICE INCREASE ), COST OF LIVING INCREASE, the disposable income will be affected as well. Its is also time to get some loan.
lastly, with recent government announcement that civil servant salary will be revised upward, this will significantly increase the borrowing limit.
last but not least, government servant are mostly bad paymaster, thus, more interest incurred and bank particularly prefer this kind of borrowers.

Share buy back indeed is a good thing. But, if the treassury shares did not cancelled after purchased, the story still remain the same. The PE stood at 30 plus, in order to get the PE looks nice, earning have to be tripple in the next few quaeters. But, i highly doubt with the current bjcorp business model.
So, rm 0.40 tp is not impossible.

rpgt should be anything from 30% and above. no cash, no property. want property, pour in at least 30% downpayment with maximun 70% loan.
in dibs, many people just handover a cheque of rm10k ( roughly ) during s and p signing, and wait everything till key collection until you really service the mortgage loan.
when, there is no tenant nor rental is way below the market expectation, this is when force sell begin.
