Wht I know is genting berhad sold off the entire stake in genting Hong kong to lim family in 2016. Genting hong kong is under margin call now probably which pending announcement. If the shares pledged is indeed under pressure, 550 million shares will be in jeopardy. Assuming genting hong kong debt is at 12.5 billion myr, the entire 550 mil genting berhad is worth only 2.2 billion myr coupled with estimating 1 billion myr nta of genting hong kong tangible assets , it is far from the minimum wrote off of genting hong kong assuming 50%. If we put all these bad scenario into the perspective, genting berhad is worth much lesser than rm 3.

I think the main pride push down is due to margin call and shares sell off. Assuming the lastn90 days average volume of 90k per days , average selling price at 4.3, the total selling off is only at rm 360 mil myr out of the 550 mil shares or 1.47% of 550 mil shares.
