SUNWAY recorded revenue of RM2,332.3 million and profit before tax of RM424.6 million for the current 6 months period ended 30 June 2017 compared to revenue of RM2,224.7 million and profit before tax of RM379.9 million for the corresponding 6 months period
ended 30 June 2016, representing an increase in revenue of 4.8% and profit before tax of 11.8%. The better performance in the current period was contributed by most business segments, except property development and quarry. Current period profit before tax was also boosted by higher fair value gains recorded by Sunway REIT, which was approximately RM33.1 million higher in the current period.

乔治肯特（George Kent (Malaysia) Bhd）与德国西门子股份公司（Siemens Aktiengesellschaft）及新加坡西门子（Siemens Pte Ltd）合作，联手竞标马新高铁（HSR）项目后，今早上升1.55%。


乔治肯特昨日公布，该集团已在10月6日与西门子签订一项前财团协议。

根据协议，乔治肯特和西门子将合组一个工程、采购和建设（EPC）的前财团，以EPC级别准备联合投标献议，以竞标马新高铁的发展、融资、建设和技术操作，以及维修部分的工程，统称为资产公司（AssetsCo）招标。

丰隆投资银行今日在报告指出，资产公司将需要融资和建设系统，不包括高铁土木工程和机车车辆。

“我们认为，资产公司的部分将占整体马新高铁600亿令吉成本的200亿令吉。”

分析员Jeremy Goh表示：“为了获得投资回报，我们了解到，资产公司将收到一些款项，包括可用支付、列车租赁费等。”

他指出，丰隆投行正面看到此消息，因若中选为资产公司，将进一步提升乔治肯特在铁路系统中的显著地位。

“乔治肯特坐拥3亿9500万令吉的巨额净现金，将在竞标资产公司派上用场。”

同时，他还表示，西门子可能将成为资产公司竞标财团的领导伙伴，因在全球铁路工程，包括机车车辆、自动化系统和电气化具经验。

“如果该财团未能夺标，乔治肯特仍可通过分包合约，参与马新高铁系统工程。”

该研究机构维持“买入”评级，目标价3.75令吉不变，部分因为基于轻快铁延伸、第三轻快铁计划（LRT3）和捷运二号线（MRT2）的参与，乔治肯特预期是主要铁路业者。

“我们相信该集团在参与即将进行的大型铁路项目，如东海岸衔接铁路（ECRL）和马新高铁，处于有利地位。”

兴业研究亦正面看待此发展，并认为该财团出线的机会很大。

该研究机构给出“买入”评级，目标价略升至3.78令吉，因该集团是推动国内铁路相关投资的代表。

分析员Chiong Tong Chai指出，目前的盈利预测很大程度上取决于乔治肯特现有59亿令吉的强劲订单，意味着营业额覆盖率约为10倍。

“这表示，如果该集团短期内获得ECRL项目，我们可能会调整盈测。”
