To know whether there is a coming corporate exercise, one just need to ask his/her analyst because they are the ones who will propose corporate exercises for a company like Insas to the management. I suppose you do not have to wait that long if there is such a proposal. As of now, the price is well supported above 0.70. Maybe @sslee may have access to the management too.

I am not sure of the RM230.6 million unrecognized losses of investment in Melewar's Power Associate. It is mentioned that the investment is immaterial to the Melewar group. Why immaterial? What happens when the losses is recognized? A huge hole in NAV reduction? Will it be recognized? Or it doesnt have to be recognized? The company can choose when to recognize the losses? Can someone enlighten me about this issue?

I remember it used to be a communication tower provider based in Sarawak, promising reports written and future prospects. Eventually the owners sold their shareholding to this China owner. After so many promising reports have been published. Is this not a laughing stock? So now China Construction is back in picture with reports and reports of earnings and project winnings. After that...more fund raising, fund raising, warrants issuance, warrants A, B, D, ....if there is another alphabet for warrants after the 26 alphabets, I believe they will do that. Can you all just donate your money to the needy instead of investing in approved scam like this.

Is this not another China owned scam company that's manipulating insider information, paying analysts to write good research report to prop up their share price, releasing financial information even before public release. Real proof is there for SC to charge. IB has to be charged as well. Company has to be charged. This is robbery of retail investors coming out in the open. The free fall is going to stop already...technical support is there...selling volume has diminished. If Mycron falls some more, smart ones will grab. Melewar is directly connected with Mycron, how far can Melewar go.

Mycron has found some support at 0.9. Melewar's drop has also halted for now. Seems like calibration is going on. Hopefully technical can help to support their price for some time before some good news come. Why not just take Melewar private since the price does not reflect the true value of the company. Any opinion on this matter?

To be frank, at a NTA at RM1.35, one quarter loss is nothing to Melewar. It will take many quarters and years for this amount to dwindle. When the public resort to panic selling, it is a norm for share price to fall drastically because of the dearth of buyers at a specific time. Only the wise collects and waits. Such a sad case if you resort to panic. A knee jerk reaction, a loss of capital, and after some time, things will go back to normal. How much lower do you think Melewar can go with an NTA at that price. Please do not forget who owns the majority stake in Mycron and the financial performance of Mycron. This is just the start of Mycron's profit.

With NTA at RM1.37, at price at 0.57 at the time of writing, coupled with promising future for Msian CRC and HRC industry, is there a better share to buy? I do have some holding of Melewar with me. most people are singing good points about the share and its prospects when the world market loses more than 2% on Friday and sentiment around the world is getting negative. Let's see whether the black swan is going to swallow all the positive vibes or killed by one small company which produces metal. When zinc price continues to fall in the world market and the said company is operating in a tough environment since time immemorial, risk takers are happily taking up the shares not knowing that steel companies have never shown PE valuations higher than 6X due to the fact that steel companies are a boring industry and without much to shout about. Pls continue to sing good notes till the sharks are full and you need to wait a few more decades for your hard earned money to be redeemed.

zinc price in the world market has gone down in the past few days to 2314.50 and this figure is still dropping. steel companies may still.be in the doldrums. Investors may end up holding stocks with high NTA but stock price may not reach that amount.

I am not an investor in Sign but I feel that there is too much hype for a company like this. Although kitchen cabinet industry has a very high profit margin, there is no barrier of entry for a business like Sign's. You can just check around the shoplots near your housing area and see how many shops are doing kitchen cabinet alone in your own niche housing area.
Next in line is their purchase of two condominium units somewhere in Bangsar or Damansara. What is a kitchen cabinet company doing by purchasing condo units when you are supposed to focus on your niche business and developing it further. What is a suspect is either there is a dry-up of idea to develop their business or a sign that someone is just throwing money somewhere which benefits their own party. The owners can argue that there is money to be made in the investment, so there is nothing wrong with this move. If you agree to this argument, then you should be seeing a lot of the companies listed on Bursa doing a purchase or two of properties around KL or Singapore or even Britain and Australia.
For those analysts who are so keen or keeping their fingers crossed and legs crossed about a dividend play in future, then you may have to tune in to BFM today and listen to what the speaker has to say about rewarding shareholders with dividends. A sunset industry and barely no barriers to entry industry is an industry to avoid. Of course PE and Earnings prospect is bright, there is no point in putting in more money into a stock which is in a sunset industry and does not plan to reward shareholders at all. Analysts or whoever who has interest in the company will continue promoting the company, yet the fact remains the same. Nothing is attractive in a kitchen cabinet company, thus explaining the low PE of the stock.

yeah I agree normally they push up the price before AGM to make the shareholders who are attending AGM happy. On another note, hopefully fund managers can see the cheap valuation of Zelan and collect slowly..

So many people commented on MLAB during the days when it went up all the way to about 20cents. Some targeted 90cents and all kinds of stories cropped up about purchases and takeovers. Anyway can provide a fundamental analysis about this counter? As far as technical is concerned, its just on a sideway trend. Nothing special, no volume, dead counter. Waiting to be delisted maybe.

Zelan is one of the construction companies with the lowest PE ratio. Just wondering how much more will it drop before fund managers start to accumulate...hahaha

hmm..Zelan is also affected by the market rout. Looks like no stock is spared from this rout this time. Poor Zelan, hopefully it can go back above 0.36 - 0.37 in these few days or else the technical chart is going to suffer considerably and it will take a longer time to go up. Anyway, considering PE ratio of Zelan which is quite low compared to its peers in the same industry, it won't drop too much unless someone wants to shake out the weak holders and accumulate. What is a certain is that it will not go down below 30 cents. That's what I am quite confident of unless geopolitical reasons made it not holdable by anyone.

For a technical person, one would not dare to touch this stock at this time. No matter how confident one is on the fundamentals or the prospect of the stock. It failed to break the simple moving average. Simple thinking will wait for the stock to find its support first before making decision on whether to buy the stock. Anyway, since this is a Malaysian stock market, the major shareholders like LTH and EPF and others are the one who call the shots; which they have not done so so far.
