KUALA LUMPUR (March 30): CIMB IB Research has maintained its “Add” rating on Salcon Bhd at 66 sen with a higher target price of 82 sen (from 68 sen) and said it was more positive on Salcon’s infra outlook for 2017 after updates from management.

In a note today, the research house said it continues to like Salcon as it is the sole water infra play under our coverage.

“Salcon could strike a “big one” post water consolidation in Selangor. Langat 2 WTP phase 2 tenders likely to be held in 2H17F, with Salcon as a frontrunner in our view.

“Target tender success rate of 20-30% could increase order book by 40-70% by end-2017.

“Cash-enhancing land sales and job wins are potential catalysts. Our target price is raised to 82 sen as we lower RNAV discount from 40% to 30%,” it said.

The corporate exercise they liked to do is issued warrant, right issue, so in order to seek financial assistance from shareholders, and the normal tricks they will like to do, they published good financial result to convince shareholder for the sake of shareholders vote, yet after then, the subsequent results will fall south to Holland like what we are seeing now. The worst thing is, they pull us together. Best of luck

tipu la,........ last time said the the exist provisions should be one-off (RM350 million) and to be charged in YE 2015. Until today, the cumulative amount of such provisions is RM464 million (32% differences)
Secondly, from the 94 million proceeds from right issue, 60 million paid to creditors (any related parties?), and 15 million buy PPE (what to buy still), and 26 million repay bank borrowings.....the proceeds all gone already....

（吉隆坡19日讯）消息透露，雪州水务公司（SPLASH）的脱售价格，可能是账面价值折扣15%，相等于27.2亿令吉。

财经周刊《The Edge》引述消息人士透露，中央政府已委任咨询公司，协助评估水务资产的价值，以及解决自2008年开始进行的雪州水务资产纠纷，并完成整合资产。

根据报道，有关评估报告将会在下个月中出炉。

虽然没有透露咨询公司的资料和名字，但据悉脱售价将比账面价值32亿令吉折价15%，即相等于27.2亿令吉。

若是接受该项交易，中央和雪州政府将会承担收购成本。

在考虑到股东批核及其他细节，该项交易将会在明年4月完成，之后很可能会出现10年以来的首次调高水费。

在2013年11月的最后一轮收购献议，雪州政府出价18.3亿令吉。不过，扣除15.6亿令吉的贷款后，SPLASH只能够取得2.51亿令吉，而该公司仍有16年的特许经营权。

该公司的特许经营权将会在2029年12月届满。

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): Steel pipe maker Salcon Bhd is tapping into China’s e-commerce and tourism business after buying a stake in two Chinese online tourism and marketing service specialists.

In a bourse filing today, Salcon said its unit, Salcon Water International, has signed an agreement with Signcharge Ltd to acquire its entire stake in Beijing Xinlian Yitong Technology Co Ltd and Signcharge Sdn Bhd for HK$9.6 million (RM5.2 million) cash.

Hong Kong incorporated Signcharge is involved in communication technology development and consultancy. See Che Chi is its sole director, while its shareholders are Bonafidea Ltd (90%) and Datuk Mohd Nizam Tun Abdul Razak (10%).

Beijing Xinlian Yitong Technology was incorporated in China, and its principal activity is providing online tourism and marketing services in China.

The company is also the sole operator of the "Malaysian Tourism Pavilion" on the Alitrip tourism platform of Alibaba (China) Co Ltd.

Shares in Salcon closed unchanged at 60.5 sen today, giving the company a market value of RM389.8 million.
