Almost confirmed is gone case, another Bursa Annoucement revealed that Tan Sri Goh and Dato Eddy Leong disposed 16 million warrant on the day that they announced their great plan! at average price of 24.8 sen.

Including the private placement! Really "private"...

They were so smart at hinting the investor about the false hope of Eko World, Dato Eddy Leong should well aware that Eko World was in the process of offeing Focal Aim at the time when the Edge asked him about the future of Salcon
2013-09-18 17:50 | Report Abuse
unlikely that Salcon will be taken over by Tan Sri or Eko World, however, the saving grace is Salcon will be holding cash of RM200+ which will allow them to have competative edge into buying stretegic lands

to be on the safe side, suggest we don't touch the WA, as it will be expired in May 2014, I think it is also why the majority share holder dumped 7 million shares on last friday, it proved that he doesn't have confident that the share price will go up to 0.90 in the short term and also doesn't want to convert the warrant
2013-09-18 09:16 | Report Abuse
Because Eko World already in the process of taking over another company
2013-09-17 11:42 | Report Abuse
anyway, without Eko World, Salcon still should trade at around 70+, let's wait for the rebound
2013-09-17 11:39 | Report Abuse
looks like gone case, the only attractive deal for Salcon is to be taken over by Eko World, but Eko World has already announced to take over Focal Aims today, wrong target. Too bad that Salcon now is sitting witn RM200 mil cash with no good Property Development experience to guide them

Agree with SP Setia, is a bit late for Salcon as the property sector is overheated

Yes Hidden gem. Let's monitor. Hi Lim, please read today Star's big coverage on Eko World. The JV with Salcon at Johor is just a very small portion, they don't even list down in their list of projects.
2013-09-14 09:40 | Report Abuse
The indication will be clearer if Salcon continue to sell it's other businesses in the coming months, mean while, we have to wait
2013-09-14 09:39 | Report Abuse
The Star has a big write up on Eko World, I was wrong, didn’t know that they have big land bank all over the places, my calculation was wrong. Looking at the size, if Tan Sri LKS wish to use Salcon as his back door listing vehicle, he can easily control Salcon by pumping in some of its land. They didn't even mention about the JV with Salcon in today's write up. Hard to predict now, Salcon will only good if he comes in, but looking at the size of Eko World, they may not need Salcon, why want to come in to carry the burden of Salcon existing staffs who are not familiar with property? The only way for him to come in is for Salcon to continue to sell and clear all its non property business

Country Gardens is different, they have special waiver for the bumi quota, Salcon's land has 40% bumi quota
2013-09-13 16:37 | Report Abuse
Agree with Alex, the timing of Salcon is wrong, PM is going to curb speculative property prices in the coming budget, moreover, in Johor, the bumiputra quota is 40% with 15% discount, the scenario is tough

i suspect that a lot of people already knew about the news weeks before, that's why the news leaked to The Financial Daily a day before. Those who bought using margin account or contra, will suffer
2013-09-13 14:47 | Report Abuse
I guess, we have to wait for a while, they probrably want to flush out those who knew about the news earlier and went in earlier

I think their relationship is very good with the Edge, let's see whether they have any good articles this week

I think the real action will be when they are announcing the entry of Tan Sri LKS, if it materialise
2013-09-13 12:15 | Report Abuse
I really don't understand why they need the private placement since they have already in the midst of selling their water business and get back rm200mil, the private placement only get RM19mil, the only logic that I can think of is for the existing directors to accumulate more shares for their future disposal in better gain
2013-09-13 11:27 | Report Abuse
A bit worry that the Tan Sri LKS's purchase will be after the expiry of the warrant next year
2013-09-13 11:25 | Report Abuse
I'm holding the WA, looks like need to sell and buy the mother, as the son is expiring In May 2014
2013-09-13 11:19 | Report Abuse
Looks like need to hold it for another 6 months
2013-09-13 10:58 | Report Abuse
Can we compare this with MAA? Sold their prize assets, get back cash. But Salcon is slightly better. In the sense that they will have a big property development in JB JV with Tan Sri LKS

Hope that they will push up a bit in the afternoon session
2013-09-13 10:36 | Report Abuse
They won't give special dividend, already stated in the bursa announcement that they are going to reinvest the sales proceed for property development
2013-09-13 09:14 | Report Abuse
Hope that my theory is not correct, they are pressing down the price waiting for LKS to enter next year
2013-09-13 07:47 | Report Abuse
Let's do a rough guess, Eki World land worth RM600mil, Salcon has approximately 600 mil share. The market cap will be around RM500 mil if the price is 0.80, if Eko World pump in their land worth RM600 mil, they will have the controlling stake of 55%. With this calculation, I think they will not let the share price up too high before the this exercise. We may need to hold for a longer duration
2013-09-13 07:25 | Report Abuse
Very unusual. Normally share price surged before the announcement, and furthermore the news had already leaked to the Edge one day before, and yet, the price didn’t move. It lead me to think that this could be one of the pre-purchase condition of Tan Sri LKS, sell off all your water assets, clean up the company, maintain the share price at current level, before he can take over. Anyway, is just a rough guess...

May need to hold for a year in order to wait for the true value of salcon

Just Announced in Bursa, will get back RM200+ million after paying back the loan, NTA is 0.91, don't know whether is good or not. No more steady income from China, have RM200 mil cash for investments in Property Development, Property Development is very challenging business nowaday, but they may have Tan Sri Liew, still a lot of uncertainties
2013-09-12 18:03 | Report Abuse
How much money can they take back after paying off the debt?
2013-09-12 16:30 | Report Abuse
I guess the price will move after the situation is clear, which means after Salcon disposes all his water assets and Tan Sri Liew comes in. Just a point of concern, Peoperty Business is very tough in the coming future especially after the new budget as government trying to curb the speculation, I wonder whether the timing is right for Salcon. For me, Salcon short term target could be between 0,.75 to 0.85 when they announce the disposal of water asset, it will only fly after the annoucement of their new partner in property development
2013-09-12 15:05 | Report Abuse
Hi hidden gem, I think he won't take over before Salcon clearing their water assets, earliest will be next year, if our guess is true
2013-09-12 14:05 | Report Abuse
My guess, if Tan Sri Liew is to take over, for sure he will press down the price so that his entry cost is lower
2013-09-12 11:31 | Report Abuse
Very strange. The price doesn't move at all after the news....
2013-09-12 09:26 | Report Abuse
Need accountant to advise. Their NTA is 0.78, I assume that this already included the assets in China, assuming they sell with 10%, premium, meaning NTA is about 0.86, but they won't have the assets anymore, they have cash. So, is hood or not? Can the share price break 0.80? I have no idea
2013-09-12 09:13 | Report Abuse
It will only be seen in mid term, I think
2013-09-12 09:13 | Report Abuse
The selling of water assets will justify that Tan Sri wants to come in to a very clean and pure property firm
2013-09-12 09:12 | Report Abuse
I think the key is property development. Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin?

Headlines in today's Financial Daily, Salcon to sell it's investments in China. They are to dispose all water assets in China and concentrate in Malaysia, good or bad?
