The EPF's investment effort should be made transparent, accountable and creditable...

If this is the case, EPF should not invested in Malakoff. As what I said earlier, the government-linked investment arm should deliberate the background and potential of the company which they invest. They cant just withdraw themselves at an unreasonable exit cost. It should be justifiable and pointless to say that there is a better prospect, thus jumping out from the boat. The EPF's role is for long-term investment as they handle people's monies.

On the other hand, the yield could be even higher if EPF manage the fund efficiently. It is pointless to claim that they made no mistakes with a constantly paid 5-6% dividend. Just look at the Temasek Singapore and use it as a yardstick to compare.

EPF is a well cash-rich entity. Why should it divert its investment by disposing the existing one at hefty loss? There are many unanswerable practices in Malaysia, even those holding power in government related investment arms are exempted from explaining the big loss incurred..

Very true... it is about the job done by EPF.. If the disposal does not cease, i dont think there is a chance for it shooting up..

The true story is share counters in Malaysia never reflect their actual value. As long as the institutional players are keen in a particular counter, the share price is well kept. Malakoff has lost one third of its listing price price.. What else could we expect? Truely, the company hasn't done much to safeguard the interest of the shareholders. Power generation in Malaysia is sort of a monopolised business- but still Malakoff isnt that rewarding for the shareholders..

The Quarter result is coming soon.. It is predicted to be a good one.. However, the share is keep dropping as the MGM does not impose share buy back mechanism. Thus, EPF is kept dumping with aims of buying back at anytime.

The board members are still cheeky to ask for extra allowances and perks.. if share price and company profit are good.. only then you guys request it lol... BTW, RM1.2x compared to IPO RM1.80 is nearly 35% drop though..... lousy management...

I believe this is true. the price hovering around 1.17-1.18 where most large volume of transactions were made. it will clinch to 1.30 soon when the institutional players collected substantial amount o shares

The fund mangers are manipulating the games. Selling earlier at higher price and collecting back at lower price. Just look at the modus operandi by kumpulan wang persaraan lately. When we say they sell at loss but in reality they earn the difference when buy back....
