DPS Resources Bhd executive chairman Datuk Seri Dr Sow Chin Chuan said its subsidiary company Shantawood Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, a producer of wood-based products, is doing well overall except for the shortage of manpower.

“Although it appears that technological advances are becoming increasingly popular and subsequently taking away jobs, it doesn’t mean manpower is not important in production.

“MIFF is a good platform for exhibitors to meet new customers and expand their business networks.

“This is also one of the ways companies can get orders, but sometimes, they may be asked for more than they can deliver and this is when manpower is much needed.

“If the government can be more lenient with its foreign worker policy, specifically for export-oriented manufacturers, it will benefit local industry players and the overall economy, especially with the weakening of the ringgit as most transactions are made in US dollars,” Sow explained, adding that this will also encourage industry players to explore business overseas.

I strongly agree with einvest88. The NTA is RM0.20 with the current market price at RM0.105. The room to grow is very huge and my targeted price for DPS will be RM0.45. The quarter result should be fantastic in view of its property sector in Krubong Jaya with a fully sold record which is slowly translating into the sales and became the main contributor for its overall group profit. The construction project is on-going with a deadline to complete. Hence, the turnover for its property sector should be deemed positive. The finance cost reduced significantly well explained the cash flow position of customer. To me, the insurance claim is not longer my considering point anymore. Now my focus is the quater result which to be announced on next week. :8 more trading days to come......

The price of DPS moved from 0.08 to 0.10 after the announcement of 3rd quarter result. The coming 4th quarter will be a better one in view of:
1. Finance Cost going to reduce significantly in view of settlement of long term liabilities (Term loan) and without reliance of Bank Overdraft Facility.(Long term liabilities was zero as per 3rd quarter result and no utilization of Bank Overdaft Facility.
2. DPS has successfully turn-around in view of its performing property division.
3. CCC had been obtained for its Seri Tanjong Minyak Project somewhere in Jun 2016.
4. The commencement of Krubong Project which started since August 2016. (heard from my frens that the Krubong Project was fully sold).
5.Their newly JV project going to kick off soon with the targeted profit of RM7.08Million for next 5 years.
6.The Seri Tanjung Minyak project is a freehold development project which is highly demanded in Malacca. The development project next to the proposed development project achieved fully sold record by another property developer.
7. The NAB is RM0.20 which is greater than the current share price of RM0.10.
8. The insurance claim of RM24Million( to me, if got half of the amount @ RM12Million considered very good)
9. The appointment of Mr. Mea Fatt Leong to the board ( white knight to DPS).

I think tml is merely a case managment. If PK infront of judge; the remark would be" Tafsiran Ganti Rugi Di depan Hakim. so 1st stage is PK followed by 2nd stage which is Taksiran Ganti Rugi Di depan Hakim, then 3rd stage is Bicara then 4th stage is to deliver the verdict. So all in all, the whole process is going to take extra 5-6 months time.

shareking, so gonna wait for few rounds of PK, each PK takes easily 1 month. So gonna wait for 3 to 4 months la.....haiz....

still keep 100k queuing at 0.105. Hopefully can sell it away. I think the case gonna drag for few more months......

Yes i agree with Hein, High Court got their own KPI to meet. This case started since 23 Jan 2017 not much time left for them to come out with the Tafsiran Ganti Rugi. The possibility of the case bring forward is there.....Good Luck all

If the reassessment is appealable, i think MSIG will appeal to Court of Appeal on the reassessment sum given on the coming high court hearing, then subsequently to be followed by appeal the case to Federal Court. Which going to take for another 3-4years????Am i right to say so Mango2????NONSENSE.....

Dun try to cheat ppl with all those nonsense. Federal court is the highest jurisdiction and any verdict or decision given shall be FINAL. Federal Court instructed the case to send back to High Court for Reassessment by another high court judge shall be FINAL. Common sense will tell you, this is not as per what you keep misleading ppl.....

Diven Teh, i bought DPS @ 0.08 and sold at 0.11 this morning, can you help me to calculate how much i gain this morning?is 37.5% profit.........You keep on asking ppl to sell and dont waste time on this counter but you are the one who keep on focusing on this stock. Assuming the coming high court hearing reduce the previous awarded amount (RM19,496,398.90 "Judgment Sum") by 30%, the new award amount would be RM13,647,479.23.
If compounded with Interest rate of 5% per annum to be calculated from 14 July 2011 until the full and final settlement, DPS shall be entitled to RM13,647,479.23 x 5% x 6 years=RM17,741,722.99
RM17,741,722.99 would definetely boost the price up to a new level.
Look at Boon Koon, the profit from disposing its subsidiary is approximately RM15.136Million can boost the price up to 0.415. I think DPS can perform better than Boon Koon.

I want to express my since thanks to the lawyer of DPS who did a good job to appeal the case to Federal Court. This was a wise move, now the insurance company has to follow the High Court Judge decision on Reassessment. Good Job and a round of applause to the lawyer.

I agree with Hein, just wait since DPS alr won the case. Now is only the quantum issue, the previous High Court Judge awarded RM19Million ++ to DPS and i think the REASSESSEMENT that going to be done by High Court on coming hearing; the figure wont run much from RM19MIllion. The court case approaching to the end and the decision by the High Court shall be FINAL..... Waiting for the good news and be patient, now is the time to squeeze all the contra players. For those with extra cash, can consider to sapu at 0.095 and 0.10 (consider cheap as compare to the target price of RM0.25 & RM0.40)

Dear Frens, the announcement for Material Litigation shall be made either by today or tomorrow. (14 working days from 17/03/2017). My suggestion is to keep the shares until the announcement. I think Peter should go and pray hard hard, 24/04 suddenly being declared as a public holiday which will definitely drag the Taksiran Ganti Rugi to a later date. Wait for 2 more days and decide for the next move...........

EGM approved the proposed diversification to include construction, property development and trading of construction materials.

The buying queue for 0.10 remain strong. 1,042,200 divided by 6 seller equivalent to 173,700 meaning to say that the BB and shark is waiting to sapu at 0.10. Something is coming the way to DPS.

DPS is going to follow the same trend like BKOON.
