Hi Babs, i afraid the 7.5 sen need to less 25% government tax, thus you will not get full 7.5 sen, so the DY will be lower. Based on my worksheet, dated 28th Jun, growth stock with gross dividend more than 5% are Digi, D Lady, Hapseng, Harison, PIE, Tasek, TM, Bstead, Fimacor, Maybank, Amway, Asiafle, Luxchem, ...... Frankly, based on high PER now, most growth shares in my list generate about 1 - 3 % gross dividend (lower than FD) ;-(

My opinion, this is a good counter. Constant growth in EPS year over year. Is only suitable for fundamental followers. Averaging downward when price down should be able to help you gain profit especially in current "trading market". Dividend of 7.5 sen should help to lower down your acquisition cost per share. For contra player, definitely not so suitable.

Similar announcement were made prior to Q1's result. We are have about a month time (closed period) before the release of Q2 results in August. Sime has been buying the share in the month of July. If the financial result no good, i doubt Sime will do so. Time to accumulate!
