UEM Sunrise buys RM161m office tower in Australia

KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer, UEM Sunrise Bhd has acquired a 21-storey office tower in Melbourne, Australia, for A$58 million (about RM161 million).

This is UEM Sunrise's third property acquisition in Australia.

The 16,000 square metre office tower is located at a strategic corner site of St Kilda Road, one of the main routes into the Melbourne Central Business District, the company said in a statement here, today.

The building is currently occupied by the Victorian Police and will be vacated after mid-2016.

"The intention of this acquisition is to develop an unprecedented ultra-luxurious residential development, potentially with a mix of ground floor retail and serviced apartment components," UEM Sunrise said. --BERNAMA

[BUKTI KETUA BAHAGIAN SUDAH BUSUK] 8 Bahagian UMNO BATAL Jemput Muhyiddin Rasmi Mesyuarat

Johor Bahru – Lapan UMNO bahagian telah membatalkan hasrat untuk menjemput Timbalan Presiden, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin untuk merasmikan persidangan UMNO peringlat bahagian.




Menurut sumber pejabat Timbalan Presiden kepada SuaraTV sebentar sehingga kini hanya tiga bahagian UMNO sahaja yang bersetuju untuk meneruskan jemputuan.




“Sehingga hari ini sebanyak lapan bahagian UMNO telah memaklumkan untuk membatalkan hasrat menjemput Tan Sri atas pelbagai sebab.




“Bahagian-bahagian tersebut Sik, Tangga Batu, Hulu Terengganu, Cameron Highlands, Raub, Lumut, Bukit Gantang dan Lipis” katanya kepada SuaraTV ketika ditemui di Mesyuarat Perwakilan UMNO Bahagian Kluang di Dewan Pekan Rabu di sini pagi tadi.




Menurut sumber yang enggan mendedahkan identitinya itu, hanya tiga bahagian sahaja yang masih bersetuju untuk meneruskan jemputan tersebut manakala satu bahagian lagi masih belum memberikan sebarang keputusan.




“Antara bahagian yang masih bersetuju untuk menjemput Tan Sri merasmikan persidangan bahagian mereka ialah Kemaman, Semporna dan Silam.




“Manakala sehingga kini UMNO bahagian Kubang Pasu masih belum memberikan sebarang keputusan” katanya lagi.




Terdahulu UMNO Raub dan Sungai Besar memutuskan untuk membatalkan jemputan mereka terhadap Muhyiddin merasmikan persidangan bahagian atas alasan menjaga keharmonian ahli parti. - Suara.TV

Ahmad Zahid yang juga Menteri Dalam Negeri dilantik sebagai timbalan perdana menteri menggantikan Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin dalam rombakan Kabinet yang diumumkan pada 28 Julai.

Ahmad Zahid yang tiba pada pukul 8.05 pagi kelihatan bersalaman dengan para menteri di bawah Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan menyambut ketibaan Najib sebelum perhimpunan bermula.

Turut hadir buat pertama kali ke perhimpunan bulanan itu setelah dilantik di bawah portfolio JPM ialah Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said selaku Menteri dan Senator Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki selaku Timbalan Menteri. - Bernama
