@T800 Many agree that you are right Barakah going downhill. I however, cannot agree. What you are seeing today is just a normal market trading of a listed shares. It does not matter if the company is PN17 or not. Do you see the similarities between KYY & Jaks? If I were you, I will embrace the SAAG episode. Fear not its shadow.

I just bought some.... Plan to buy again tomorrow. My confidence towards Barakah remains unshaken...

It's in the Rationalisation plan. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, now that court-convened Creditors Meeting have been put into hibernation. Nothing moves now... as far as the rationalisation of its accounts is concerned. For me, I will still BUY Barakah...

I will not be too worried about the suit by Petronas. The market have discounted such news. My concern is actually Nik's margin account. It is the selling that is dampening the price.

@tony4771. I don't view Petronas as a GLC but a world-class standard corporation. They are bench-marked among the world best oil companies. They don't need to victimised local companies. They have no reason to. Non-performer just have go....

I never find using the courts of law in solving an issue positive. It closed all doors of negotiation. I feel the decision to sue was made in haste & also felt pressured by the impending Creditors meeting....

My take... the decision taken to sue Petronas did not go down well with the current management. That decision to sue came from the Singapore so-called White Knight... Lecca. Biting the hands that have been feeding you for a long time... shows the attitude of the future management.

I find the measure taken by Barakah over the 3-years suspension... Very, very negative. Court action takes a long indefinite period to resolve. A PN17 doesn't have that privilege of time.

On the issue of suspension, I doubt the suspension is over the same project. Barakah could have, yet again not complete the works for Petronas.... similar to our mischievous ways way back in secondary school. Or rather repeat offender.

Yes... Barakah share price is at attractive level. Its a good buying opportunity. I am looking to buy, no doubt about it.

The non-performance have caused the 3-years ban. No appeal can reverse the ban. The non-performance have caused losses to Petronas which in the process caused Petronas not being able to fulfil its contractual agreements. Reliability is of utmost importance in the O&G trade. It is for this reason no other O&G companies will want to be associated with Barakah.... thus my definition of Pariah

It's normal for O&G companies to be in distress especially due to the downturn in world crude oil price since 2014. I like O&G stocks. The only fault I have with Barakah is their non-performance of Petronas contract. They shouldn't have done that. I may be wrong but I think Barakah is now a pariah O&G company the world over.... Sorry for saying so

It still does not change the time period for the de-listing. As I have mentioned much earlier, Barakah is quitting O&G business. Its white knight is into ship bunkering. As reported in earlier news Barakah has financial obligations amounting to RM700 millions. Now that they are moving out of O&G, they have to convince their existing Creditors that the new business is able to pay back what's due. Its tough no doubt but what's M&A all about

To prove my point, make a simple search on Perisai... another distress O&G like Barakah. See the number of extension it receives to regularise its financials. Don't worry unnecessarily.

Distress companies are always given time to improve on their financials. De-listing Barakah is distance away. You guys should not be disturbed by the PN17 classification... the almost all-low price 4.5 sen is indeed disturbing.

Guys, cheers up. Though things don't look promising, it is not the end of the world. The next few days can be tough & frustrating. Turning around Barakah is going to be a real challenge. Despite that Barakah will NOT be de-listed. There are still hope...

The plunge in world crude oil since 2014 has taken a toll on Barakah. Its fortune is further aggregavated by the 3-years ban by Petronas. Barakah is really weak. It won't be de-listed as yet. That, I am very confident. I will buy into this company again when opportunity arises.

Don't view us negatively. Share market is a cruel place to be in. Barakah, after its restructuring is no longer the Barakah which we are fond of. Barakah is no more. It will be re-born as Lecca. The restructuring 5 to 1 can be an expensive but useful experience.

I don't think Barakah will go bankrupt as yet. Its quitting the lucrative O&G business and moving into a less lucrative bunkering business. After the restructuring exercise, Barakah will no longer be the Barakah which we are familiar with. Your shareholding too will be reduced from 5 to 1...
