Here's example of calculation:
Let say 5 day average price is 15.18 -- 15.64, 15.6, 15.5, 14.9, 14.26
5.18 is exercise price and 6 is conversion ratio
They buy 20,000 unit at 1.00 with total cost RM20,000
15.18 - 5.18 = 10
10.00/6 = 1.667
1.667 X 20000 = 33,340
So profit is:
33,340 - 20,000 = RM13,340.

So it depends what price they buy the warrant. But profit is very much there unless they buy at 1.62. Then no profit.

For the bank, they sure pay already because issue price cheap. So, all they can do is minimize payout by bringing the price down.

@ newbie, the settlement price is the average closing price of the underlying shares for the five days before the expiry date.

Last trading date means you can no longer sell your warrant. So if price go down, you cannot control anymore. Expiry Date is the day the price is determined for settlement.
