Sondakh concurred, stating that apart from the undemanding valuations in terms of enterprise value, large plantation companies were hard to come by in Indonesia.

“Based on market price, can you buy a 30% or 37% stake? No, you can’t,” he said in defending the premium that the Rajawali group sought for the proposed disposal of its 37% block.

“To buy the third largest plantation in this country is close to impossible. Nobody is selling a big stake. The reason we are doing this (deal) is because we saw the synergy and we are a long-term player. We want to be a downstream player because that is where the money is,” he said.

limayseng. That is how exactly the peak oil theory will play. Obviously one production reaches its peak, it will go down from there. Oil will be expensive as they need to dig deeper the ocean bed to extract oil.

It will eventually rebound because of the recent flood, rebound in oil price and other commodities like soyoil.

Saudi Arabia promises to cut oil production if Russia withdraws its support for Syria.

To be fair many currencies i.e. Aussie dollar, Russian rubble, Venezuelan bolivar, are depreciating except USD. Many analysts expect currency war.
