wow reidtee, u work with epf AND kwap a? Yr words very entertaining sia. Do let me point out a few things :

1. Karim never sold any of his shares these few months. Only warrants.
2. EPF and KWAP doesnt just consist of 1 team of people managing their funds. They have huge amount of money on their hands, and they divide the money managed into multiple teams of people working for them, and these teams all work independently. So when team A sells, team B could be buying in, while team C is doing another thing, etc. In my opinion, EPF and KWAP transaction lack reference value bcuz u dont know how many teams have their eyes on this ctr.

I kinda agree with bullrun1985, high chances that ppl will lose patience and just sell off, let's see ba. (low-key hope so AHHAHAHA)

Does it vary from case to case, or is there a practiced norm in the industry? Curious when can part of the orderbook revenue/profit can be reflected in a qr.

short term traders aim is small profit and repeat cycle, long terms investors aim for larger returns over longer time horizons bcuz they gonna stick to a stock, diff strategy, no point asking the other to follow the other.

Ppl buy to replace FD?... rates even competent vs EPF... the more people think markets are unstable, the more keen they are into investing in less riskier portfolios like REITS, and AXREIT happens to be one of the REITs who are in industrial properties, compared to the hit by Covid-19 hospitality and office REITs and is still aggresively making acquisitions, its not everyday u can see a "growth"-style REIT

Thanks @devil, appreciate the insight, it was very well substantiated and developed train of thoughts... everyone has their views I guess.

On a side note, IT and tech are 2 diff things entirely. Tech is upstream designing and manufacturing of microchips, midstream ATE, OSAT etc. and downstream manufacturing of electronic products (OEM,ODM) while IT is using IT to come up with modern solutions such as VR, cashless banking, online designing applications, apps to process macro data etc. I see huge potential in this, and like u say, it fetches huge returns, but the risk of failure is high, but serbadk can afford to fail in IT, as it still has maintenance services and EPCC to hold the company strong. In other words, it has a lot of room to grow without much losses if things go haywire.

What serbadk cannot afford is to:
i) lose too many maintenance contracts if o&g sector gets hit hard
ii) screw up one of the big EPCC projects ( as in they didnt do a good job, or the client cant pay up etc.)

Then serbadk will be having a hard time with its uncomfortable gearing ratio.

So unless the above 2 scenario happens (which we can observe from the QR), my strategy for this ctr will be hold (since i plan this ctr to be legit long term) (but not everyone plays for long term and I respect that)

That said, i dun rlly see it as an issue though, but then this is just my personal view, u r free to disagree.

Here's my train of thought : I boarded serbadk bcuz it had solid maintenance services not only for O&G but also for non O&G players, a strong EPCC orderbook, and a growing IT segment, which Karim made clear serba will be venturing into. Therefore, spending a relative small amount of money on marketing when entering a new market seems fine to me, especially it was proven in the past that their IT segment revenue increased drastically, and the target audience in CNBC seems correct too, since it connects more contacts in the corporate world to build branding of serbadk's IT segment. This is laying ground for more companies to be confident enuf to consider serbadk to provide IT-related solutions, (and this service has crazy high profit margins... just time, energy, manpower... for high margins, why not?)

But then I almost laughed when blood7 said "click image ad with Karim's face on it", ok that looks rather foolish lol, maybe he wants to brand himself to reflect serbadk or smtg lol HAHAHAAH that asidei believe he knows what he is doing, or else he wont continue to buy back shares. Who would want to put ur own money in a losing money, even if u ctrl it? That said, even me myself am proceeding with caution.

But i like the idea of venturing into a new field. But maybe some like clean counters that focus on one field, so yeah, a good consideration also.
