Tony, can you please explain why you are sceptical of their new business venture. The company have been offered a business opportunity that will add diversification to their current business model, not detract from it. They have clearly looked at the opportunity, and more to the point, the numbers around this opportunity and decided it was worthy of adding to the group.
With limited current information on this new venture to the general public I can't see why anyone needs to be negative on its prospects, particularly when nobody apart from those within the business knows how much profit and margin the Group will make.
Me, being Mr. Joe Public, will accept that they have made a prudent business decision by taking on this new venture and will wait to see the outcome.......that being how much it adds to Perak Transit's bottom line.
As I mentioned before, I had believed that someone was taking a position in PTrans, merely on the trading activities in recent weeks/months with the Warrants. That has come to fruition, so let's see why these guys are so keen to have taken positions in the company.
I'm not having a go at you dude.........but perhaps it's sometimes better to sit back and look at things in perspective, perhaps from the heights of a Tree Top View :)
Ignore what I post here if you don’t like reading it. I mean it’s i3 ferchrissakes :)
Of course, and absolutely, I’m a mere super tiny investor and the big businessmen wouldn’t have embarked on something unless/until they did their due diligence. They know what we don’t know!
But I’d posted before here about the telecommunications towers industry in Malaysia. Shrug, the bosses know best…
haha, another and another big boss will be coming in? I said several times before can consider holding Ptrans as gifts to our children....nice that big bosses finally also keen in Ptrans! Didn't know I think like big bosses, regret didn't go into business, haha. Happy trading, friends!
With new super investors emerge one after another obviously is a very good sign. In the near terms it probably will not give much surprises. Super investors see the future in this company. It looks very positive for future growth.
Another batch of Warrants converted today...........10,628,509.
For the regular readers and contributors to this thread and some other threads I inhabit, it's time for me to say hasta la vista to i3. I've definitely overstayed my welcome and I'm getting nothing out of this site.
For those of you who enjoy chatting with me through i3 Messenger, I'd like to continue with that contact with you guys and gals as the chats are always informative to me, so I'll remain logged into messenger but will no longer read or post any forum content.
All the best with your investments.....you all know who you are.
TreeTopView, Thanks for your postings in which you alerted us to the possibility of someone collecting the warrants, and the Dato TCS appeared. I plan to remain invested in Ptrans and guess you'll too. Good Luck!
Perak Transit (PTRANS, 0186, Main Board Consumer Stocks) reported a 6.39% increase in net profit for the first quarter of this year, amounting to 15.16 million Malaysian Ringgit, and distributed a dividend of 0.75 cents per share.
For the first quarter ending in March, the company recorded a revenue of 47.383 million Malaysian Ringgit, showing a year-on-year growth of 16.53%.
Perak Transit Bhd Expert Recommendations:
Perak Transit achieved a core net profit of 15.2 million Malaysian Ringgit in the first quarter, meeting our expectations.
In the past quarter, the company relied on the contribution from the integrated bus terminal business, which helped increase revenue by 16.5% on a yearly basis, while pre-tax profit increased by 10.1%.
It is worth noting that the company's daily operating expenses have increased by 71.4% compared to a year ago, reaching 6.2 million Malaysian Ringgit.
When comparing on a quarterly basis, the company was affected by an increase in deferred taxes, resulting in a 6.1% decline in core net profit.
Perak Transit has previously revealed that the construction progress of the Meru Terminal has reached 63% as of April, and this new terminal will also have major tenant TF Value Mart.
We anticipate that the new terminal will achieve a 50% occupancy rate by next year and contribute 6% to Perak Transit's revenue.
While waiting for the company's management performance report, we maintain a "buy" rating and a target price of 1.55 Malaysian Ringgit.
Just a gentle reminder: Rather than a public bus company, bus terminals are Ptrans's main concern. I think a lot of ppl are still using the long distance buses which are very comfortable. It's very tiring to drive long distances, so why not let professional bus captains do the job, and we just sit back, relax? I have been holding Ptrans since 2019, and it does not disappoint!
@djibaok Have you been to the bus terminals managed by Ptrans? I have not, but I have been to other major long-distance bus terminals and there are lots of people.
Honestly, their terminal is empty. Especially kampar. Many empty lots. Contradict to their report which show huge amount of rental. Probably rent to third party or director private company. Now many TOD development. All bus terminal built near lrt or train. Ipoh will be develop by mb inc and ktm. Their stand alone bus terminal in future no hope
For Kampar, report said half-empty in Feb 2023, and projected to reach 70% by end 2023. Half empty means many empty lots? so not contradiction? TOD is not new concept, surprised that PTrans does not know this.....
Probably they used personal company to rent. On paper legit rent income. If they didn't collaborate with train in near time, it will be loss for them. High speed train will be around country.
Some statement also doubt. Previously said they are third party management for terminal alor setar. After local council release open tender early this year, terminal alor setar disappear from their report. This counter need to rethink many times before hold longer
YeosCincau, your comment.....":Previously said they are third party management for terminal alor setar. After local council release open tender early this year, terminal alor setar disappear from their report.".........is an outright lie and defamatory.
I suggest you correct your "error" and post the actual facts.
An extract from the most recent quarterly, August 16, 2023........."The Group is also actively seeking new third-party terminal management services to grow this asset light business, as seen from the collaboration to operate Terminal Sentral Kuantan and Terminal Bas Shahab Perdana in Pahang and Kedah respectively."
Terminal Bas Shahab Perdana is the Alor Setar site.
On 23 February 2021, the Group, has via TUSB entered into a Collaboration Agreement with NSS IT Solution to collaborate and cooperate in the concession granted by Majlis Bandaraya Alor Setar to NSS IT Solution for managing a bus terminal known as Terminal Bas Shahab Perdana (“TBSP”) located in Alor Setar, Kedah Darul Aman. The Collaboration Agreement shall be effective for a total period of 15 years, commencing from 1 April 2022 or upon the completion of the renovation works in TBSP, whichever is earlier, with the initial collaboration period of 3 years, renewable at each of the consecutive 3 years (“Term”) for a total 5 Terms, subject to the mutual agreement by both parties. The total investment cost for the concession amounted to RM9,000,000 of which the Group and NSS IT Solution shall each bear RM6,500,000 and RM2,500,000 respectively. Pursuant to the Collaboration Agreement, the Group is required to construct and complete the renovation work of the commercial area in TBSP and responsible to maintain and manage the commercial area. In return, TUSB is entitled to all the income generated from the commercial area. In contrast, NSS IT Solution is required to renovate, maintain and manage the terminal area of TBSP and is entitled to receive all income generated from operating the terminal area.

I am. Those statements i copy from their latest annual report. I give facts. We didn't know why have contradiction. We are not the owner. We speculating as per what we see. If u are from the company, tell us. We trader we speculate we buy we sell. Every counter. Ding dong company sure kena one
Here are some of your statements since you joined i3, you tell me if they are not actionable in a court of law:
"Probably they used personal company to rent. " " After local council release open tender early this year, terminal alor setar disappear from their report" "Honestly, their terminal is empty. " "Contradict to their report which show huge amount of rental." "Probably rent to third party or director private company."
Bro. This is forum where people share thoughts, opinion, information. Suddenly u koyak and threatening showing u from the company. Its not my fault ur terminal empty. Not my fault also the contradiction. By threatening and not replying by giving facts is showing the face. Remember the company is public listed and investor have right in arguments, on site visit, etc. Unless is private ownership, think again. Later sc come finished bro
YeosCincau, Let me get this right. Are you saying I am a company employee, a member of staff for Perak Transit? Am I right in thinking that you are stating or suggesting that?
"Suddenly u koyak and threatening showing u from the company. Its not my fault ur terminal empty."
Before you dig the hole you are in any deeper, I'd suggest you consider what you state.
As for people having opinions on listed companies, I agree 100%. But the line is drawn when those comments make claims of fraud and slander. You should be well aware of that.
Don't blame me or anyone else if you are too naive to understand the laws.
Outlook: PTRANS drop slightly and hovers around MA20 level of 1.20 recently. Price to stay around this level in the near term before resuming uptrend. Need some fundamental good news to break resistance of 1.36.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
