that is what happen when 2 groups fighting for control. Those who converted their PAs theoretically loss 50% already. Dato will make sure price is within this range for now. There is still roughly 380 mill ICPS not yet converted which can be translated to another RM 57 mill into company account if converted one-to-one.

Madam got the majority of the ICPS and she converted one-to-one instead of three-to-one basis to dilute Dato's holding.

the fight is real but I don't know which side bought big quantities last week. Dato game plan will be to push the price lower so he can buy cheap while forcing the old guards to convert more PA at lost, meaning more fund into the company coffer. At lower price, he can accumulate more shares to give him board control. Once he got control, he can opt for capital reduction to reduce the number of shares held by the other group. He can then use the surplus cash to buy Trinity and get back his money. Smart move by Dato.

The other side, on the other hand, would want to increase the price to reduce their losses and at the same time, make it more expensive for Dato to buy. They have no choice but to convert the PA to dilute Dato's holding instead of buying from the open market.

I believe both sides have engaged operators to help them so it will interesting to see how intense the fight will be to get control of this cash rich company in the next few days.

pamie, this is operator goreng stock.. the moment you see the Q in the 20-30 millions than it is not retailers anymore.

if you follow the trend in Jan, both the buy Q and sell Q are by operators. The moment they notice panic selling by retailers 7.5s, the buy Q will disappear and replace with sell Q at 7.5s.

Not yet. They have not started playing.. the operators will see first the pattern in the morning if the retailers got the bait or not. You will notice that they sell a lot but at the same time they also buy a little just to show there is still buying. With the buy Q is bigger than sell Q, the retailers will think that there is still buying interest, and join the buy Q while in fact the operators are waiting to dump. Same modus operandi like last time. Just be careful.

That is right Pamie.. I was told the operators are on-board now after last week big buying. So don't enter yet. It may drop to 5s before Dato start buying again as his entry point is 5s. The losers will be the retailers and contra players.

As long as the price stays below 15s, it is good for Dato as he can accumulate more while the others will lose money by PA conversion. I am not surprised if Dato already held more than 30% as those on buying spree last week are not yet disclosed.

True, it is not just dilution.. The company is flushed with cash at the moment.. a healthy sign during this difficult period. What is next? We have to wait for the announcement. There is still a lot of unknown. Who bought big volumes last week. Was it new shareholders buying? Who block the price? Was it Dato himself so that he can accumulate more, knowing that higher price benefits the old guards? Can Dato get control of the board, or does he has enough votes to kick the old guards out? What is company next plan? Buy stock broking firm or Trinity? Will Madam work with Dato? So many unknown here... hope it is going to be like Minetec, all happy to the top!

it is not contra players but the crooked directors trying to prevent RTO by Dato. Only them have the volume.

Agree with Reap88. CSY and geng have to push up the price beyond reach of Dato, and they have to do it quickly before Dato start accumulating at cheaper price.

retailers are dumping at 8s... good correction before moving up...

there is a limit to the price drop otherwise it is cheaper for Dato. With cash of 50 mill plus, the company is a dream for both sides. They can easily recover the losses by declaring the special dividend later.

The strategy to block the price might not work and it may backfire them. At 8s, it cost only 80k for 1 mill shares or rm 8 mill for 100 mill share which should be well within Dato financial capability. If let say no one is buying, they have to buy back to ensure the price does not drop and make it cheaper for Dato to buy and this will make them losers.

Another strategy is to push up the price higher to make it expensive for Dato to buy and to force Dato to quit the race altogether.

today T3 for those buying at 8s... so expect some selling in the morning.

without IDSS, those who want to block must use actual shares and have the a lots of them. Guess among those 5 largest shareholders, who is actually trying to prevent the takeover?

I think Dato is fighting back now... for him, the cheaper the price the better compared to losing money in ICPS conversion.
