nope..i don't have any position in kianjoo n canone..both seems to go flat this year. but alcom got RRPT with both company at 5MT per year (sorry i can't remember clearly whether in RM or in MT). so, it's kind of guaranteed profit from this RRPT but i dont do the calculation of how much these translate to company earnings..

someone is pressing down the price whenever the price going up..possibilities :
1 - traders that caught in the higher price, especially after div payout; get out at whatever highest price they can think alcom reached at that point of time..
2 - to smash out weaker holder; making everyone think alcom is having a problem, be it coming qr not very good, or alcom having a problem, or so on..so they can buy at lowest price as possible
3 - operator is changing their way of playing this share; we all think the correlation is straight to the point - dividend payout last 2 months: increase in share price. so, cap repayment should be same. but now, reversing the trend happen.
4 - they won't pick up the price now as lots of interest occured currently. so, maybe later stage after cap repayment, they pick the share at bottom, release the qr and the share booms up.

it's good try to have a look at kian joo and can one coming or last qr. as alcom supplying aluminium sheet to these 2 companies. maybe you can have an idea on what's happening.

ex-date means the date which new price taking in after deducted the dividend. so whoever sell this morning will get the div..

entitlement date is just a date which registrar will usually get the name of shareholder to pay the dividend. usually T+3..

T is 11/8. T+3 is 16/8.

q2 & qr3 revenue result will likely to increase..but cash in hands for q2 will reduce as alcom use the cash balance to pay for dividend back 2 months ago.

but eps for 3rd quarter will see a drop as capital reduction takes place and market cap shrinking.

you must hold one day before ex-date by 5.00pm to entitle to dividend

Buy on ex date won't entitle dividend.
