KUALA LUMPUR (May 5): AirAsia Group Bhd is among the top airline brands that are well positioned to survive the Covid-19 crisis, judging from its cash position, brand strength and brand value, says independent brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance.

In Brand Finance’s annual report on the most valuable and strongest airline brands — the Brand Finance “Airlines 50” for 2020, AirAsia is the only low-cost carrier from Asean featured on the list, registering a 15.5% year-on-year growth in brand value — the highest in Asia and the second highest amongst all airlines globally, thus making it one of the top 25 most valuable airline brands in the world.

In the 10 Strongest Brands ranking of the report, AirAsia was rated as having the highest year-on-year increase and one of only four airline brands in the world to have an AAA+ rating.

This was based on marketing investment, familiarity, loyalty, staff satisfaction and corporate reputation.

GEORGE TOWN: State di have no choice but to accept the conditional movement control order (CMCO) which came into effect today as it is federal law, legal experts said.....

The CMCO, gazetted today and signed by the health minister, repeals the earlier stricter version of the MCO.

How CMCO is gazetted today? Member of Parliament not convene yet in Parliament.

If that can be done, then there is no need for Parliament anymore lah in Msia.

If this time AA making lost then their merger will be Debts + heavy debts = very heavy debts.
You think their can survive as there is no difference between them e.i. airlines operators.
You think Tony and his gang will be rewarded?
If AA merge with any of the China airline I think there will be a totally different kind of scenario.

CORONAVIRUS | As the government plans to ease restrictions on the movement control order (MCO) next Monday, concerns have been raised that it may be too early to do so.

A look at data over the past seven days since April 25, shows that more than half of the 380 new Covid-19 cases were local or community transmissions.

Specifically, 248 or 65.3 percent of cases were community transmissions, compared to 132 imported cases (34.7 percent).

AirAsia returns to the skies with domestic flights in Malaysia starting today (April 29), but passengers will need to follow Covid-19 safety measures.

Each passenger will need to bring their own mask and wear it properly before, during and after the flight, including during check-in and bag collection. Any guest without a mask will be denied boarding
