This was a popular belief back 30 or 40 years ago before there was computerization of stock market!
Today however, things are very fluent given datas updated constantly! We don't live in era where book keepers close their book in May and go for extended holiday! Beside, we already in extended holiday with MCO extended for the 4th time!
So yeah, sell in May only exist in historical event of bourses!

Today, everything moving extremely fast! Internet has changed everything in bourses! There's no more sell in May go holiday mantra! Today, those who go for May holidays may find themselves out of the market!
