It's actually less niche than it sounds, as most of us would have heard of the hobby of collecting rare coins and banknotes. This week on the show we have a true qualified numismatist, Dickson Niew, to literally talk money with us. He enthuses us with this relatively newfound passion of his - including his latest focus on the Malay Sultanate coinage - and the interesting roles he carries out as an expert in the field. On top of sharing his specialist knowledge in the grading and authentication of rare coins and banknotes, he also dishes out tips to anyone keen on embarking on this activity, driven either by the interest of a hobbyist or the intention of an investor.
