In 2015, in America alone, 3.3 million people were defrauded to the tune of $1.5 billion. By 2017 that number had increased by 24%. A Microsoft survey also found that millennials were actually the generation most likely to be duped. So much for growing up on the cusp of the internet age, it seems.
