Haezreena Begum Abdul Hamid, Criminologist and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya

Several people linked to the Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings have been arrested, including the firm's CEO Datuk Nasiruddin Mohd Ali and his wife. This is following probes into the organisation last week, when police rescued over 400 children aged between one and 17, from 20 care homes in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. There have been allegations that the children had been abused, exploited and sexually assaulted. We talk about the case with Haezreena Begum Abdul Hamid, criminologist and the deputy dean of the Law Faculty at Universiti Malaya.

· The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has proposed that immigration officers not have their mobile phones with them while on duty. This is in an attempt to curb corruption and to ensure that officers are not influenced by external parties while on duty.
