Value of construction work fell 10.5% in 1Q21

The value of construction work done in 1Q21 contracted by 10.5% yoy (4Q20: - 14.2%; 3Q20: -13.1%; 2Q20: -44.9%; 1Q20: -6.3%), amounting to RM31.4bn (4Q20: RM31.7bn; 3Q20: RM31.4bn; 2Q20: RM19.8bn; 1Q20: RM35.0bn). Compared to 4Q20, the value of construction work done slipped by 1.1% qoq (4Q20: +1.2%; 3Q20: +58.6%; 2Q20: -43.6%; 1Q20: -5.2%).
