DIGISTA - Hidden Winner of Budget 2018
Digistar benefit from Budget 2018???
In Budget 2018, Najib announced that over RM14bil allocated for the Armed Forces, including RM3bil for purchase and maintenance of defence assets and RM250mil for Esscom to enhance coastal security controls in Sabah and Sarawak.
What you see from above statement?
I see $$$$, I see RM250mil for ESSCOM.
Look at a news that previously DIGISTAR published by Bernama:-
" Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the presence of security personnel at these resort centres was important as the islands were far apart and isolated.
“Considering the location of these resorts, it is difficult for us to respond quickly.
“If there is a permanent security team at each island resort, criminal activities can be prevented,” he told reporters after launching the Panther 911 Central Monitoring System here today.
On the system, Khalid said the police would get the company to design the system for application at the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESScom) area.
Developed by Syarikat Digistar Holdings Sdn Bhd, the system functions like a closed-circuit television to detect the presence of criminals in the waters off ESSCom areas and alert the nearby police stations. — Bernama

Besides the hospitality segment, Lee said Digistar is also bidding for two projects — a total security solution for a government agency and an infrastructure-related project along with other related system integration jobs, which he estimates to be worth a total of RM2 billion.
“I cannot reveal beyond that as they are in a negotiation stage. We are not new in providing security solutions, as this is reflected by the central monitoring system products and services that we offer,” he said, adding that these two anchor projects, if won, will replenish its depleting order book, following the completion of Malaysian National Technology Advancement Centre (NTAC) in Alor Gajah, Melaka.

Wah... So many parts of the Budget 2018 will be benefited Digistar.
Second: A sum of RM720 million to build 11 headquarters and six police stations as well as purchase of firearm fittings and operations vehicle. Meanwhile, an allocation of RM170 million is provided to upgrade ICT equipment, including 1PDRMnet system as well as RM100 million to upgrade communication systems;
Fourth: A sum of RM250 million is allocated to Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) to enhance security controls at Sabah and Sarawak borders, including RM50 million for coastal surveillance radar;
223. To create safe and peaceful environment in the neighbourhood areas, the Government will continue to provide 1Malaysia People Community Grant up to RM10,000 to registered resident associations to purchase security equipment, clean and maintain neighbourhood areas with a total allocation of RM40 million.
Why Digistar:-
1) Digistar will supply ICT equipment, networking system and communication system to PDRM.
2) Digistar will assist army to setup the surveillance CCTV at ESSCOM area, and Digistar have the control room there.
3) With more & more housing area forced to establish their own Resident Association (because they want to build Gate and Guard house), so Digistar has great opportunity to approach them to use the Panther 911 system. With this RM10,000 grant, those RA will happy to use the grant to purchase Panther 911 system.
