HSI Futures


The S&P 500 ended lower on Friday for a ninth straight day, the longest losing streak for the benchmark index in more than 35 years, as investors stayed on edge just ahead of an uncertain U.S. election. U.S. futures jumped 200-points after the FBI again cleared Hillary Clinton of any wrongdoing over her use of private server to send government related emails.


Hong Kong stocks closed at a 2-1/2-month low on Friday, as worries over the upcoming U.S. presidential election continued to keep investors on edge.

Plan A : Above 22715, do nothing

Plan B : Below 22563, do nothing

Plan C : Attempt selling if market stays below 22701

Plan D : Cut above 22740

Plan E : Consider buying if market holds resiliently above 22563 and rebound

Plan F : Cut below 22563

With news of Hillary Clinton cleared of any wrongdoing over use of private server to send government emails, FKLI is expected to follow regional markets and open gap up. However, resistance at 1654 must be breached convincingly if market were to further surge from here. Otherwise, market still stand a chance of heading downwards after a higher opening.

Plan A : Attempt selling if market opens gap up but fails to breach above 1654

Plan B : Cut above 1658

Plan C : Consider buying if market holds firm above 1646

Plan D : Cut below 1643

FCPO experienced some sell-off towards the afternoon after failing to cross above 2776 on Friday. Dalian and soybean oil are slightly at their upside while Ringgit stays weak at RM4.20 against the greenback.

Plan A : Sell if market rebounded and resisted around 2748. Targets are 2738, 2712, 2696 and 2668.

Plan B : Buy only if market stabilized above 2748. Targets are 2762, 2784, 2794 and 2816. 

Plan C : Above 2762, no fresh position.

Plan D : Below 2738, no fresh position.
