HSI Futures


The S&P 500, the Dow, Nasdaq and the Russell 2000 indexes all posted record high closes for the second straight day on Tuesday, helped by gains in car makers after strong September vehicle sales and a jump in airline shares.


Hong Kong stocks jumped on Tuesday, led by mainland banks after China’s central bank cut reserve ratios and as materials shares found support from economic data out of Beijing that showed stronger-than-expected factory activity. Markets in China, Korea and Taiwan will be closed today for public holidays.

Plan C : Consider selling if market surges but fails to breach above 28238

Plan D : Cut above 28268

Plan E : Attempt buying if market corrects and holds resiliently above 28018

FKLI showing signs of recovery yesterday after half month of slump. A successful hold above 1751.5 for the coming days would be important to build on more confidence for investors that market is bound for reversal from here ahead of month end budget announcement. Any strong breach above 1759 might enough to entice more buyers into the market.

Plan A : Remain buying as long as market stays firm above 1751.5

Plan B : Cut below 1747

Plan C : Consider selling if market test 1759 and fails to breach through

FCPO rebounded from bottom 2653 on Tuesday to 2689 later in the afternoon with low volume. Dalian remain closed while soybean oil is down slightly. Ringgit strengthen against the greenback at RM4.22 against the greenback.

Plan A : Sell if market rebounded and resisted around 2704. Targets are 2687, 2670 and 2659.

Plan B : Buy if market retraced but supported above 2676. Targets are 2692 and 2731.
