Buffett has never been obsessed with Wall Street, and he has not listened to rumors. Instead, he has actively followed and purchased company stocks in industries that are known as “smoker butt” and are falling prices and are fond of themselves, and do not take into account short-term gains and losses. He only chooses companies that have a long-term dominant position in an industry, where technology is hard to be stolen, and which have a good track record. One of the essences of Philip Fisher's theory is that when you are faced with a good opportunity that is rare, the only smart thing to do is to invest heavily. Buffett claims that every investment you make should be confident that more than 10% of your net assets will be invested.
