MOSCOW: Investigators found weapons and other evidence after camouflage-clad gunmen opened fire at concertgoers near Moscow on Friday (March 22), killing at least 60 people and injuring 145 in an attack claimed by Islamic State militants.

The Russian Investigative Committee released footage of a rifle lying on the ground and staff examining spare gun magazines and spent bullet casings at the 6,200-seat Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, where the attack occurred.

Gunmen sprayed civilians with bullets just before Soviet-era rock group "Picnic" was to perform to a full house, with the incident marking the deadliest attack in Russia since the 2004 Beslan school siege.

Reuters was able to verify the location of the exterior shots through matching the road layout and building configuration with street view imagery, file images and Reuters' coverage of the area. Reuters was not able to independently verify where the interior shots were filmed, or the date when the footage was filmed.-
